I'd be good with Dean spelling Lauri for 15 a night.

His defense is there, both when you are watching and when you look at the stats. He is also starting to shoot it after a slow start to the season. 39% from 3 his last 10 games.

There is certainly room in a rotation for a guy defending multiple positions well who can shoot ~40% from 3 over long stretches.

I'm good with Mad Catz Dean getting some minutes because of just how poor the Cavs' wing position is. I'd rather see him than Stevens on the court because he'll knock down enough open jumpers to keep the defense honest.

I pray that he's the 11th man as soon as next year, however.

Wait. We're talking about *Dean* Wade being a SG now??? Did his junior high coach come back?

He played the SF position well, and there isn't a huge different considering what we roll out there. Everyone can cover for anyone and he can be a cog in that lineup.

Nothing is impossible as the Cavs proved it with their big lineup, and neither is this. Cavs are bucking the trend.

The only way I play Dean heavy rotation minutes is him starting to take and make a good deal of 3s. This way he will start to make a difference on the floor beyond his usual " good fundamentals no NBA talent dance". If he does so I hope he steals the minutes from Okoro as he's the least capable outside shooter (bar Allen).

But as is, JJB's rotations allow for 8 players plus a few minutes for a 9th man (Dean or Lamar).

Garland, Allen, Mobley are around 34 mpg each,
Markkanen about 31
Rubio, Okoro around 29
Cedi 22
Love 20
9th man is like 7 minutes

I can't believe DEAN, and not Dwayne, Wade getting minutes at SG (other than on switches) has gotten more than one dismissed post on this board. And here I thought those jumbo lineups with Chet, Lauri, Mobley, JA and Tackko were just jokes...

Dean Wade Hill doesn't usually have dead bodies on it, but I'm scared for you, my man.

Guys saw the man hit 5-6 3's last night and don't want Dwade playing. Couldn't be me.

He did it in against dudes too old to be in the GLeague at the end of a blow out game...and I don't think he was guarded on them either.

The request to have him not play isn't to glue him to the bench to play worse players, its to have better players push him to the bench.

I like D Wade, but it funny he made 3 practice shooting 3 with nobody 5 feet of him during garbage time, and people wants him starting …..lol

When he does start he plays hot potato with the ball and pass it as fast as he gets it, and never looks for his shot, unless he wide open…..him and Windler and Okoro all do that……..
