Wade making progress, but not ready yet

Even though he missed a bunch in that video, it really is a good looking shot. Good foundation/balance, elbow in, high & quick release. With repetition there is almost no way those mechanics don’t produce a high 30’s percent from 3. He could probably even get into low 40’s.

Damn, thx for the update comeback.

Curious why you seem so hard on the coaching of Dean Wade. From my seat, I see a guy who has come in and improved literally by the month. Is that attributed to coaching, or Dean shooting on his driveway hoop?

I've heard multiple times he has a green light. Heck, we hear Okoro has a green light too, so that argument does not have strong legs.

You might be hearing some behind the scene things, but I am honestly impressed with the handling of Dean. And I also believe he is a perfect 3, as he does not need or demand the ball. That is key with the mouths we have to feed in the starting lineup. Dean knows this too, and plays brilliantly within the system.

Could be a bit of bias, as if I knew and coached a guy playing in the Association, I would be all up in his business too. Give him the ball, I've seen him make 30 3's in a row at practice, I've seen him break down and jam on top of heads, etc. Fact is, just about EVERY NBA player can do this. The key to fitting into a team dynamic is knowing and playing your role to the best of your ability. And Dean brings that in spades.

Just my opinion though.

Coaching…….. You get what you ask for and demand.
Dude is an undrafted free agent. Even becoming a regular in the rotation, let alone a starting caliber player, is a tip of the cap to the coaching staff and player.

Hard on coaching? Lol Do you ever read this forum? I’ve been pretty easy on them since the days when they wouldn’t even give him a chance in his first season when we literally ran out of players.

Sorry I misinterpreted your meanings:

Coaching…….. You get what you ask for and demand.

tell him to shoot the damn ball if you’re open. And go score if you’re not and shot clock is close. His %’s are a lot better than who he’s passing the ball to. I’m sure you don’t realize it

Count his touches per possession and willingness to shoot it per possession. I can tell you from experience that can be fixed by what the coach demands. Really pretty simple.

I suppose our definition of the word "hard" is the variance.

But to your point, I am here every day and I've probably seen every single one of your posts. So back down off the horse there. I asked some very respectful questions, gave Dean, whom I love, some very positive credit - a guy coming in undrafted is not easy to achieve. Did you actually expect him to get more run in his first year? How about a guy like Ochai, whom we drafted in the Teens, who won a chip at one of your favorite Universities, and can hardly sniff the floor. Do you see the difference there? Dean had to prove himself - nothing is given. For you to have any issue with Year 1 Dean, and with you being a "coach" - I mean, if I'm being an ass, that hurts your credibility.

Well if believing a coach won’t get any more out of player than what they demand or expect is being hard on them…. I plead very guilty. Smh. I learned that very good lesson early on in coaching.

Having both Rubio and Wade back at least gives me something to look forward to.

excited to see the return of the cream team lineup
