DeMarcus Cousins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pels think it's severe. Gentry says they're really scared about it.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

Wow...that sucks.

This will only make the AD "rumors" come in more and more.

Posted this elsewhere...but my source said the trainers who examined him believe it is a torn achilles but cannot be confirmed 100% until an MRI is taken.

I mean its pretty obvious I think but just to throw that out there.

I'm just not sure where the Pels go from here?? They.. can't offer Cousins the max now.. I mean.. nobody can, right?

So, what happens to them now?

You bring back Cousins, maybe you get him for less than the max now, and you see how he comes back from the injury.

Davis isn't getting moved until next summer at the earliest.

I dunno... that's not without major financial risk -- to the tune of at least $125M if Cousins gets just a $25M/yr 5-year contract. And if he gets say $30M for only 3 years, that's still $90M guaranteed.

It's a grip...

I think they really need to re-assess their future at this point.

Honestly? If they want a chance of ever competing with Davis, they need to find some way to get Hill & Asik off their books, let Cousins walk and chase after a max free agent. If they just keep the status quo, they will never get past the 1st round and Davis will be gone anyways.

I think it'd be a huge mistake to just keep everything as it is. It makes no sense, IMO. It's beyond foolish to think Boogie is going to come back from this in a year plus and they're gonna go on some title run.

Either clear cap and go after someone in free agency, or deal Davis. Standing pat is a waste of time.
