Denzel Ward

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have begun? I would have thought they would have begun talks a while ago.
My reading of the tea leaves is that the Browns and Ward disagree on his value because of his injury history. I imagine that any deal will be very incentive-heavy, which means it’s probably pretty complex.

As it should be.

Never seen a coach more in tune with load management of his players in practice.

Holding healthy people out calling it part of their training process, not allowing players to wear shoes during walk through so they dont go to fast and get hurt. Its an underappreciated part of Stefanski, he is such a players coach and such a leader.

That's three straight practices now for Ward. Can't imagine it's just "soreness"

Either an extension is coming soon, or he may actually have tweaked something...ugh. Let's hope for the former.

"Soreness" is the easiest way to disguise "rest" without sating "rest"

The team has been pretty straightforward about injuries for the most part, with Greedy being the sole exception I can think of. No idea why they’d not just tell us if he tweaked something like they have with every other player.

Just sit out Myles, clowney and ward until week 1. They’re too important and too injury prone. Myles not as much but he has had his issues.

Yeah, he's VERY careful and doesn't want to risk a costly injury.

I've noticed that he will heavily manage their snap count when players recover from an injury, or like when Harrison was traded to us. It feels deliberate and carefully planned out, which I think is a good quality.

I'm guessing we don't see much of the high quality starters in preseason. We didn't get to see how Stefanski would manage it last year due to COVID but I think he has been showing us all along his careful nature. However someone may feel about "living in their fears", I trust Stefanski's approach.

Not sure you could've had a worse game as a #1 CB.

Newsome was excellent outside the PI though.
