They won that game in a blowout fashion while shooting 22 LESS fts than the Denver
The power of the 3 point shot.
This sounds really weird to say, but I'd try to lock down Igoudala, completely take him out of the game. I think in some ways he's still living off the reputation that he's not a good shooter. Right now, he's capable of effectively shooting anywhere on the floor.
I think in some ways I'd rather lose to Golden State with Steph trying to go for 45+ points.
What kills me is when Igoudala scores 24 on 10/12 shooting or something like that.
In a lot of ways it reminds me of how the Cavs lost to Orlando, everybody on that team was hitting. Hell, even if we could have locked down on Michael Pietrus, we might have won another game or two. It's those 4th and 5th guys having these big games which drowns you.
I'm cool if Steph scores 40 and beats us. I'm not cool when Harrison Barnes and Igoudala combine for fourty points.
If that's the case the way Curry can tack 3's on the board, it's going to be extremely hard to win.
I think if you can eliminate Igoudala or Barnes entirely, their team will sputter. The way to beat the Warriors is to fuck up the pace of the game. The caveman ball we played in the finals gummed them up, they were thrown off by that style of play.
I think if you can mix it up, you can possibly disturb their preferred rhythm.
This was spoken to me in a dream by Gregg Popovich.
