I look forward to him “miraculously” figuring it out for another team and then making $15m a year.Windler was always a great rebounder at Belmont. He plays hard and is not a surprise to me. Just needs more playing time and I hope he continues to see more. I hope JBB does not put him in the doghouse anymore. Good things happen when he plays.
And Windler with 9 rebounds, 5 pts, and 2 steals with +15 in 16 minutes tonight. He is going to make 5 3s in one game soon. You will see.
Agreed. When he first returned from an extensive injury, the things that made him stand out was his movement, rebounding, and defense.
He is just not confident in that shot. If Okoro can take the wide open 3s he gets (ditto for Lamar Stevens), Windler can too. He passes like Okoro does too...
He still looks very tentative and unsure on offense although he did make a nice cut for an easy bucket. He didn't look tentative at all defensively or rebounding, and that's more important right now. That's two games recently where he's come in and rallied the defense which will get you minutes under JBB.Agreed. It is a huge need but he has been lacking in the shooting area. He'd fallen out of favor with me because earlier in the season he wouldn't shoot the ball when given the chance. To me that's still a big need on this team. But Windler did look good last night in various aspects of the game. I want him to succeed for sure.
He's running out of hooks! It is one thing for JBB to say in his pressers that he wants Windler
to shoot more.
It is another thing when JBB has him on the quick hook.
Not the best way to build confidence.
I don't think JBB ever said that in the article, those are Fedor's words.Interesting that JBB publicly acknowledges the "doghouse"...
