Yeah, do you think he takes the starting spot from Cedi? I think Okoro is more likely to. Cedi looks like he is going to push anyone who thinks they are going to get that spot.

If,Okoro continues to play well I think he starts over Windler and Cedi. Now,the backup job will be interesting unless Bickerstaff put Windler at the shooting guard position in with Garland, Sexton,KPJ or Exum.

I know Bickerstaff talked about Windler playing the shoot guard sometime this year....

I like Windler and he looked decent minus the shooting the last game. He should get minutes tonight and Indy will adjust some so we'll see.
I know this is a Windler thread but regarding the other stuff discussed, I kind of look at Porter as someone who won't be here to play as hoped. For one reason or another he'll be a problem case. I sense it but hope I'm wrong.
With Cedi we seen his AAA+ game the last game. It was good, real good for him. But we won't see it often. He's too soft, no natural killer instinct. No I'm not a Cedi hater.
For me, I'm excited for Okoro, Dotson, and even Maker. This based on the small sample size I've seen.

IF he and OKORO turn out very good they will trade Garland And Kevin Love To a Contender AND GET some more draft choices and decent prospects back I do not think Garland And Love Want TO BE HERE.

In theory He should be a deadly compliment to our roster of young explosive guards and wings. He’s just gotta be a sniper Fromm downtown. His pro- 3 ball is what will make or break his career. He reminds me a bid of a taller Mike Dunleavy. Maybe a more talented inside scorer but not as good of a facilitator or ball handler.

Mike Dunleavy Jr. was 6'9"

Windler is listed at 6'6"

Of course maybe you actually are talking about Mike Dunleavy Sr... didn't think you were that old to remember a guy who stopped playing early 80's but if so good for you man! haha

That's Dunleavy in shoes, Windler not, so it is only an inch and a half difference. Windler strikes me as quicker than was Dunleavy, though.

He will watch film of last night and see he passed up three lay ups
He can be a sniper but he can also get to the hole

I love his constant movement off the ball/hustle but his shot has not impressed me so far.

Kover, Dunleavy, I know I do it too, but its funny we only compare his game to white guys, lol

Besides, we all know Windler is just a white Paul Pierce.

I don't know who to compare Windler to. We need to see more, but he moves off the ball wall, defends pretty well, his passes have been on point, and he is one of the skinnier wiry rebounders I ever saw. Who rebounds like that with that body? Nobody is coming to mind. If KD was 5 inches shorter?

Definitely intrigued, but I need to see him let it fly. He and Darius both need to be unconscious shooters. We need them to space for us. He got one blocked this 2nd game. I need to see him get it up faster. I'm surprised because i thought his release was super fast in summer league.

Anytime I hear "Wiry" as a descriptive trait I can only think of Tayshaun Prince, but even then he was 6'9" with 7'2 wingspan which dwarfs Dylan's 6'6" height and 6'10" wingspan. But if he can be a heady, hard worker like Prince who knows how well he can develop.

Yeah not bad. He got 5.8 rebs one year. Windler seems more aggressive than Tayshaun was. Tayshaun was strong too despite being so slim, which Windler seems to share.

I'm actually quite shocked by the lack of rebounding Prince did through out his career.
