Peacedog isn’t tryna hear that shit !!!Oh man, IT'S THE REFS MAN, IT'S THE CROOKED REFS!!!!!!!
I think the refs are out to get the Cavs, this is obvious. It's a goddamn conspiracy, I tell ya!!!!Peacedog isn’t tryna hear that shit !!!
And Mobley looks great too!Absolute fucking animal. He will be battling Giannis for years to come. He got the best of him today. I think we have a future MVP candidate on our hands.
Mobley will be better than Giannis. There, I said it!
Mobley is still weirdly gawky. It’s amazing how many balls he loses and still manages to get back and finish.
Can’t wait til he’s more fluid and it all cums together for him. @bushwick_bill
Hideous Gnome is a great comparison, although Nomo was dominant almost immediately, was MVP his rookie year. But both were sneakily excellent. I remember one strike out where he made legendary Japanese League slugger Kazuhiko Ishimine fall down he was so fooled by Nomo's forkball out of that windup- even though he hadnt even swung. Was Nomo's Dr J moment. Hopefully Mobley also doesn't retire 5 years into his stint here to go play in China or something. In fact, if it does happen, it's all your fault for making this comparison and a permaban should be considered. The obvious comparison here is the one most pundits are making: a young Hideo Nomo.
As many will recall, 17 year old Hideki was lighting up the Japan Pacific League with upstart Kintetsu throwing a wide range of pitches. We all recall the nickname he shares with Mobley due to their unorthodox deliveries:
竜巻 Tatsumaki or The Tornado in English.
Nomo came into the MLB at 19 and won the pitching triple crown, was voted an Allstar and even won the MVP award. All unprecedented for a rookie pitcher. Similarly, Mobley will likely be rewarded for his efforts with an Allstar berth and a handful of MVP votes this year. Similarly, unprecedented for a rookie big.
The parallels between the two are so striking that Nike is looking at releasing a line called the NoMobley brand which features a two headed gaiju with Mobley and Hideo’s heads on it.
Evan’s retired NBA superstar father Cuttino Mobley stated that he felt the combination was natural and looked forward to seeing it.
