Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Agreed, unless they chase after the tag titles, then common sense booking says Ambrose or Reigns has to turn on the other at some point sooner rather than later, right?

It would be nice if Reigns had a heel run, for sure. But I don't think they even need to turn on each other. They just need to go their separate ways. There's really no need for them to team up. For one, Ambrose is a very popular face and is pretty good in the ring. He could, and should, easily succeed on his own. In fact, I think he should be getting a push right now rather than relegated to the sidekick in a Reigns story line, as he's clearly more talented both in the ring and on the mic than Reigns. Second, as I mentioned above, being the tag team partner of a better wrestler is really only going to continue to limit Reigns going forward.

A heel turn for Reigns would be the best case scenario, but regardless they need to stop teaming him up with better guys and force him to get better on his own.

Longer Reigns and Ambrose are together, more time it will be before we see a SHIELD reunion.

Well they had hem on their own for a minute and ambrose went on a losing streak and reigns kept getting embarrased by wyatt.
If they did end the wyatt/ shield feud. What do you do with the Wyatts,

Wyatts seems to do alot of things that benefit the Authority. Specifically Seth.
Are the Wyatts Triple H's next enforcers or they pawns for the Architect.

It sure does benefit Rollins that Reigns and Ambrose are distracted by this Wyatt feud.

It seem like Ryback has fought seth rollins more times than he has defended his title.

Sheamus again threatened to use his MITB on Night of Champions

Someone in the NXT title picture really needs to go heel. I know the NXT title is kind of on the backburner now with Finn Balor involved in the tag team tournament (I'm guessing he and Samoa Joe will be in the finals), but there's just a serious lack of heel power there now that Kevin Owens has moved on.

If I had to guess, Samoa Joe turns on Finn Balor in the finals of the tag team tournament and goes heel. Finn is too over for them to have him turn.

Also, the "we want Corbin, no we don't" chant from tonight's NXT was fantastic, as was Bull Dempsy trolling Tyler Breeze at the start of the show.

By the way, if they want to do a Roman Reigns heel turn properly, he needs to join the Authority after they inevitably turn on Rollins. Reigns is one of the few guys I could believably see as the in-ring muscle for the Authority. Lesnar would have been perfect for that role, but it appears they're not interested in going down that road and he's off the air for a while now anyway. He'd be a much better choice for a corporate stooge than Rollins, honestly.

I just wonder when exactly WWE is going to have the Authority turn on Rollins. The perfect time would have been his match with Lesnar, I think, but they decided to bring back the Undertaker instead for whatever reason. We all know it's going to happen. Rollins is over enough with the fans for his in-ring ability that he could easily turn face and still be a main event guy. Sunday would be another good time for it to happen, especially if the WWE is actually going to let Sting win the title (I doubt that, but maybe that was part of the deal in exchange for his Wrestlemania loss). It would just seem weird for Sting to finally join the WWE after almost two decades and then lose his first two big matches. Like, what's the point?

I think this is where sheamus comes into play.

I think Rollins retains the US heavyweight title.

Sting or sheamus walk out with the heavyweight title and Owens nets the intercontinental championship

Ryback will ether then move on to a feud with sheamus or rollins.

Owens with the intercontinental title opens up feuds with orton, Cesaro, Ziggler, Ryback, reigns, ambrose Cenaetc.

Wyatt can turn his focus on sting

with sheamus at the helm that puts cena in play for his 16th title.

then again Owens winning the IC could be the beginning of a long term feud with ryback thats been very low key so far.
I dont think ryback has had even an instance of promo time about owens even though the two are facing each other.. of course i havent watched smackdown yet.

I want to see Owens win the IC title, then have his own version of Cena's U.S. Open Challenge for 1 night only on the following Raw, where he proceeds to fight Hornswoggle...would be an awesome heel move...also sets up Cena v. Owens for when Cena inevitably regains the Heavyweight Title...want to see Owens as a dominant heel Heavyweight Champ...tired of the cowardly heel shit right now.

I watched Smackdown.. Ryback roid rage rushed KO's match. is that all the build up we get from ryback for his match.

I watch the 90 minute version of raw perhaps i missed the promos.

I just can't imagine Sheamus walking out with the title during football season. No one wants him to hold the belt, and he's certainly not going to draw in viewers during the toughest time of the year for the WWE to get ratings. That's really the only reason I think Sting might win. Give him a month or two run with the belt and you might pull in viewers that might have otherwise watched football instead.

If the 'E's plan is to turn Reigns face and give him the belt to give it to Cena next year (saw it online... hurts), Sheamus is leaving with the belt as the new Authority guy.

I'm in the minority, but I'd hate to see Sting have the title because it screams Sting/Cena.

Unless they turn Sting heel, I can't see Cena taking the title from him because Cena would absolutely become the heel in that matchup. We know how the WWE protects Cena, and the crowd already actively roots for heels during Cena matches. They'd go rabid against him if they thought the WWE was going to have Cena win his 16th title from Sting.

I'd imagine Sting either drops the title back to Rollins or to Sheamus via a cash-in. Assuming he wins it, of course.

I don't believe Sheamus can cash in on Sting. Sting's first title reign in WWE and he touches it for under five minutes?

The reason you say no to Sting-Cena is the reason why I think they make 16 memorable.

I didn't mean that Sheamus would necessarily cash in tomorrow night, just that it could happen eventually. I agree that there's no logic to having Sheamus take the belt from him the night he wins it. If Sheamus cashes in tomorrow night, I think he'd have to lose, which I would be okay with since it would effectively erase the awful decision to give him the briefcase to begin with.

Giving it to Sheamus gave the idea he might lose if he cashes in.

Fun thought. The eventual idea is for Rollins to turn face. What if Sting saves Rollins from a cash in?

Why would Sting save Rollins though? Rollins has been nothing but a petulant little shit to him during the entire course of the feud. I just don't see any reason why Sting would interfere, especially if he just lost to Rollins, which would presumably be the case if Sheamus was cashing in against Rollins.

When Rollins' inevitably turns face, it will have to be because the Authority turns on him, and it will probably lead to a Rollins/Trips match at an upcoming PPV. You know they're going to have a match at some point, after all, and this is probably the year to do it.

I just really hope the WWE didn't go so far as to give Sheamus the briefcase so that fans would be okay with a Reigns title run just to get the belt off of him as some have suggested. That would be awful. Which means that's probably exactly what's going to happen since the WWE seems to actively hate its fans.
