That decision in January to promote the first-time play caller to the head coaching position was not universally championed within the front office, and sources said Haslam once again went against the recommendation of the organization's analytics department in opting to hire Kitchens.

Good news is that Kevin Stefanski is still available for next year. Bad thing is we probably will have some competition this year and need to do some explaining as to why he wasn't picked over Kitchens.

The vocal language of the multiple "hell yeahs!" at the end may disagree with your determination.

Him having to tell them "Hey get in here tight" may tell a different story.

They need to pursue proven winning college coaches. Looking around the NFL for a diamond in the rough hasn't worked for us. Then again, what has?

Is there anything that Freddy Kitchens can do in the next 7 weeks that will keep his job. 7-0? 6-1? 6-0 or 5-1 in the division?

If he goes 8-8 he’ll be back imo.
Finishing 6-2 over second half of season will mean he either at least split with both the Steelers and the Ravens or went 2-0 against the Ravens.

At 8-8, Freddie gets another year. I obviously can't guarantee something that's my opinion, but I'm as confident in this as I can be about anything.

Bare minimum 9-7.

9-7*.......and a demonstrated improvement in game management and play calling.

If we “Buffalo Bills” our way to 9-7, I’m not sure how anyone can bring him back with confidence.

To me, it needs to be a combination of coaching growth and schedule.....and not just us racking up wins against bad or mediocre teams.

I would say a .500 or better record to end the year probably buys him another season, especially if they look like a markedly better team to end the year than they have to begin it. 5-2 isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
