The movie features Tom Hanks playing famed television personality Fred Rogers. One Steelers official told Schefter that Kitchens' decision to wear the T-shirt could be viewed as more disrespectful, given that Mr. Rogers was from Pittsburgh.

I’m...well...ok.

"On Monday, Kitchens had said he wanted his players to focus on the game and avoid any "fluff" surrounding it."

On Saturday, day before the game, he's the second headline on espn.com for wearing a Pittsburgh started it shirt :chuckle:

Browns continuing the long legacy of Brown'ing....

Absolutely love the shirt.

Didn’t Sean Payton do the same thing after the Saints got snubbed?

Even if so, thiswill understandably one of those "hmm...Freddie Kitchens...Sean Payton...yeah, totally the same level of respect and accomplishment " things.

Not that I agree with that, just that it's understandable.

first of all that wasn’t roughing the passer...second the receiver ran into Fuller ...he didn’t even lower his shoulder

If we want to continue to be skeptical about Stefanski, that is fine but go read the things his fellow coaches say about him. People intimating it is the system around him are really not paying attention to what he is doing IMO. Especially considering how the off-season transpired here with Kitchens' peers. Kubiak just raves about him. So does Zimmer. Stefanski's work has pretty much been a masterclass.....amplifying what Cousins does well, minimizing what he doesn't and getting the absolute best out of his offensive personnel. That's what great coaches do. They maximize their talent.

The big miss, to me, was hiring Kitchens based on 8 games worth of OC tape. Would he make a good head coach? Why? Why not? What does he do well? What doesn't he do well? Can you correct the things he doesn't do well? What is his actual system? Is it anything like Haley's? If not, why?

I think I'm more annoyed that I liked Stefanski a lot and Freddie has just been a train wreck. And Stefanski has gone on to reclaim Cousins' career and become one of the best young OC's / head coaching candidates in football. All while running a style of offense that our personnel would probably be awesome in. Ugh.

Certainly there is unknown in how he transitions to a head coach but he seems more equipped and more willing to adjust things to his personnel......guess we'll see what both go on to do from here on out.

Stefanski was my pick for the head coaching search a year before Hue was cut loose. I'll still happily take Stefanski as HC, but ideally he needs to take experienced coordinators along with him. The opposite of what the Browns did with Kitchens, he would be a real HC who needs a strong OC and DC. Kitchens should be calling offensive plays for somebody, I just don't think he's a head coach.

Not at all surprised the teams has discipline issues. Now Randall not even traveling to Pittsburgh, coaches decision. If coach is going to act like an idiot so will the players.

Let's be fair, Randall was gifted to the Browns because he is a headcase. That's on him. The plan under Dorsey was to let some players with a bad reputation run loose with a head coach who is a bit of a loose cannon himself. I really feel like the situation might still right itself a little with all the creampuffs on the schedule, but long-term they need a guy like Stefanski who runs a tighter ship.
