Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron is only wanting Eddie Curry so he can help his boys get their pockets filled. I don't like that at all. Zydrunas is clearly the best center in the market, and he should be looking at that, and nothing else.

YOu can't take anything said by anybody seriously at this point. The agents and the owners are all playing mind games on who is their real target.

I like our chances at Redd, and Z, but failing Z we need to make a sign and trade for an athletic running center.

i think we have a great shot at redd- considering he didn't jump all over that bucks offer.

also- if coach nate MAC actually ends up going to portland ? that IMO would all but make it official - ray allen would be rocking a number other then 34 for the cleveland cavaliers..

but redd can't sport 22 either huh ? ........ damn that's odd

I'd love to get Chandler here too. I don't see any way the Bulls let him go though. They'll make much more of an effort to hold onto Chandler than they will Curry.

The Cavs contacted Curry since he's apparently the backup plan if they can't get Z to come back. Curry isn't perfect but he would probably be the best C left on the market, will come cheaper than Z and there is the possibility the Bulls wouldn't match a big offer to Curry.

only problem with that is, why would anybody make a BIG offer to EC ?

That's true. There's no doubt he's a risk. I maybe should say big enough offer.

Sourses Say Redd Has Been Offered 6 years/$90 Million

For one thing I think 90 million for Redd over 6 is a little to high. But then again you only have to have one or two good years to be able to cash in on a big contract. look at what it did to Boozer.

The Milwaukee Bucks didn't stop Friday at signing No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Bogut. They also presented free-agent sharpshooter Michael Redd with a maximium contract offer in the afternoon, ESPN.com has learned.

The Bucks, according to sources, have committed to paying the 25-year-old an estimated $80 million-$90 million over the next six seasons. Exact figures won't be available until July 22, when the league is expected to announce next season's salary-cap number, but what is known now is that Milwaukee's offer will indeed be $20 million-plus higher than anyone else's.

That's because the Bucks, as Redd's current rights-holders, can offer a six-year deal. Outside suitors for Redd can only offer five years.

That includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, who've made Redd their No. 1 target in free agency by offering a five-year max deal worth an estimated $60-70 million.

Redd would stun most league observers if he leaves that lucrative extra year on the table, but the fact he didn't immediately accept Milwaukee's offer gives Cleveland some hope. The Cavs are Redd's home-state team, and sources told ESPN.com the former Ohio State star was treated to a video plea to come to Cleveland from LeBron James early Friday morning.

Free-agent negotiations throughout the league commenced at 12:01 a.m. Friday. To make their pitch as early as possible, Cleveland arranged to have a video delivered to Redd at that time featuring a recruiting pitch from James.

Sources said Seattle's Ray Allen -- Cleveland's target if Redd stays with the Bucks -- received a similar video.

Teams can only sign incoming rookies until the new labor agreement takes hold July 22, since rookie salaries (like Bogut's) are determined by scale.

Redd can reach a oral agreement immediately with the Bucks or the Cavs or anyone else, but official free-agent signings are still three weeks away.

It's not yet known whether the Bucks' ongoing search for a coach will impact Redd's decision. Since firing Terry Porter during the NBA Finals, Milwaukee continues to chase ex-Minnesota coach Flip Saunders and came close to hiring TNT analyst Doug Collins.

Saunders, believed to be waiting to see if he has a shot at Detroit's job, remains a Bucks candidate. Collins, though, is said to have asked out of the search after initially showing interest in the job.

The Bucks are nonetheless optimistic about their future, having drafted Bogut and hoping that T.J. Ford can return from a year-long injury absence next season. Milwaukee is expected to try to bring back Allen if it loses Redd to the Cavaliers.

Well we got to offer him a lot to even have him thing about Cleveland... Since he will get max from the Bucks which is atleast 20 million more then he would get from Cleveland.

Here is some news about Daniels and the many teams that are interested in the FA point guard.....

Rocky Mountain News - You can add the Los Angeles Lakers to the list of teams chasing Seattle free agent guard Antonio Daniels, with Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak making their interest known the moment the negotiating period started Friday.

Agent Tony Dutt said the Lakers were one of 11 teams that called about possibly signing Daniels and likely would be among the three or four teams that turn out to be Daniels' finalists.

"He thinks it's a good situation," Dutt said. "Obviously, they've made some changes the last couple of years. I think everybody agrees that's a team that's going to win every season. They've had their struggles but always find a way to right the ship, so to speak."

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be the front runners in landing Daniels' services.

Cliff Robinson as someone who could provide the veteran leadership and heart that the Cavs clearly want. Recently released by New Jersey in a salary move, Robinson is a capable defender and has been in 125 playoff games - he helped the Nets leap over the Cavs for a final Eastern playoff spot this spring. In short, the guy still can play - something any veteran brought in for leadership must prove to new teammates before he can lead effectively.

Sorry, Roger Brown link!

That's one of the very few times that Roger Brown actually made sense. Robinson would be a solid addition and be a nice fit to provide frontcourt depth.
He would be a player I'd put on the backburner though and only go after when other needs get filled or higher quality FA's are already signed.

Uncle Cliff would be a good addition, but i agree that is something to put on the back burner.

Wow, sensical comments from Roger Brown... color me surprised! Cliff would be a very good addition here, and make a lot of sense. Which, as we all know in the NBA, is exactly why it WON'T happen.

Cliff Robinson is one of a very common breed known as the Cav killer. They are avery dangerous specimen who only seem to attack when facing a creature in wine and gold colours. Best way to combat such a creature is to place a wine and gold skin on the predator. This has been found over generations to be very tricky indeed.
