Mo will carve Rondo up!

Well at least offensively I think he will play well. It will be a test of where Mo is at on defense, unless we try playing him against Ray Allen on defense.

It will be interesting to see who matches up with Ray

I am super-pumped like the rest of you, and am happy that the first regular season game of the season is finally upon us. It's definitely going to be a tough battle, as the C's aren't going to want to disappoint their fans on opening night. I think the key is controlling Rondo's drives into the paint. If Williams/West can stay in front of him for the most part, that should limit the easy looks for the Celtics' bigs. It will also force Rondo into becoming a jump-shooter which, while he is capable at times, is not his strength.

I also don't think that Doc Rivers is an upper-level coach, so if the Cavs' coaching staff can throw some wrinkles at him, he may struggle to adjust right away.

My feeling is that it's going to be a close game that may ultimately be decided by a handful of plays. Hopefully the refs won't decide it for either side.

And there may end up being an even larger national audience for tonight's game since Game 5 of the World Series has already been postponed. This just means that more people wil witness LBJ draining a game-winner.

Are we absolutely sure West is starting tonight? I don't know that I've seen anything official that has MB saying that for sure. I also can't find any pregame/preview links that has a probable starters list...

My daughter just got home from school and called me to thank me for putting out her LBJ jersy this morning, then asked if she can stay up late for the game! 9 years old and she already knows whats up. Freaking 2 more hours before I can go home!

This is going to be a good game, I know our guys are fired up. I hope they remember the sting of letting that playoff series go and just rip the Celtics apart. Lebron is fired up, Mo is ready to contribute, Gibson probably can't wait to get out there and show Boston what would have happened if he didn't get injured.

Damn, the season almost here...I actually have something worthwhile to do tonight!

I'm actually a season ticket holder for all three Cleveland teams (although only 20-game plan with the Tribe) and I'm telling you right now, the Cavs will be the last ones I give up.

Yeah, I split a pair with a friend and we went browns because we can't always go to games and figured they were the easiest to get our money back on. I loved having Cavs tickets but 41 games is too hard when you live 70 minutes from downtown Cleveland.

I still regret giving them up though, every game was fun...
