Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

I admit that I was frickin pissed after the game. But I always tend to settle down about 10-20 mins after. I mean Im a huge cavs fan but man, its only 1 game. Its not like there goes the entire season. Some of the posts I've read in here makes me think that some of you think the seasons over. GUYS! We still have 81 games left in the season + the playoffs. We'll be fine, the Celtics are a good team (when the refs help them out). Stop ******** and get ready for the next game.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Ugly game, it was ours to win (or lose) b/c Boston looked like a CYO team in the first half.

But it was the first time give this team some time to really get to know eachother. We are really deep and Mo Will adds a another scoring option that we haven't been used to. At times in the first half it seemed like people were kind of afraid to pull the trigger. The turnovers will go down obviously b/c it's hard to commit too many more.

Still rotation questions...especially the second big off the bench because Lorenzen Wright looked nothing like a Joe Smith replacement. Sasha showed signs, but what's new...I'd like to see Mike Brown keep a floor general out there with the second string--which may require him to bring Delonte off the bench. Gibson was trying to run the offense out there and couldn't do it.

I think we will be fine and hopefully we will give Charlotte a nice butt whoopin on Thursday.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

No shoots bro....HE only missed one open jumper and i am very mad because of that....

Please, for the love of all things basketball...

It is SHOTS.

He missed a lot of open SHOTS.

Wally SHOOTS, but he missed a lot of SHOTS.

I don't care where you are from, you just have to get this one out of your system.

And if you're going to be mad about anything, be mad about Wally looking like he's running in mud while the rest of both teams are playing faster than him.

Wally contributed NOTHING in this game. ZERO. He was comical on defense, and horrendous on offense.

no one else was doing anything...at least showed some fire and tried to make things happen with wierd lineup and got under Pierces skin...but of course he is not a go to guy...MB should know this by now.

Sasha takes alot of crap on these forums but he didn't play that badly tonight. He probably tried to do too much but Boobie's shot wasn't working and there weren't any other playmakers out there to start that 4th quarter. That's on the coach... Lebron, Delonte, and Mo are the playmakers on this team and one of them should probably be on the court at all times unless there is a blowout.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Our O sucked today! too many TOs, I felt like LeBron didn't take over the game late in the 4th quarter. He should have had the ball and should have tried to make some plays for himself and his team mates at the end of the game...

LeBron isn't posting efficiently, he posts up and brings the ball back to the perimeter, I don't understand the point of that.
Gibson was pretty bad tonight too, his shots were off and I remember the play where he dribbled for 22 secs and took a fade away jumper with out ever passing the ball through out the possession.
Szczerbiak was awful in this offensive system. He couldn't get himself a shot, he was getting blown by while on defense.
D. West played more minutes than LeBron and Mo but not many plays were ran for him.
The lineup with no starters = horrible! Comeon, they gave the ball the Sasha(he played ok) every time and expected him to make the shot! Prlly put Mo in that lineup, so, at least we can have some O!

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

I would have liked to see less of the bench without LeBron and Mo. I'd also like to see LeBron NOT be in foul trouble. The league knows what they have to do to help out the Celtics in a matchup with LeBron, and it showed tonight.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

im telling you the game is rig

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Tell me one thing....If you were all-star,2nd option in every team, playing good whole career and get only a few bad shoots per game, and play at 4 and making screens....Will you be happy????
I would because I would be making $14 million this year.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

I understand where you guys are comin from on the Lebron-in-the-post thing.....but today...you have to realize he is gettin triple teamed so that is why he has to back it out or pass out. And for the ones that think we got horrible calls.......I thought we got ALOT of calls...especially in the first half....it was pretty even. It wasnt rigged or anything. We just didnt play good enough and that it.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Did i mention Wally is the worst defender in the World, he is a huge liability defensively. Basically he is what Donyell Marshall was for us, worthless unless he was hitting 3's. Memphis is way under the cap, lets just offer Wally for Darko and call it a day.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Cavs will be fine. Bad rotation, bad outside shooting, a million turnovers and stiil right there at the end of the game against Boston(defending champs) in Boston. They will improve chemistry and rotations with more games and soon enough will be rolling toward a championship.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Simple answer to tonight's loss.

1. Waaaaaaaay too many turnovers. That was excessive, even for us after the preseason we had.

2. Free throw shooting. Specifically, Lebron's. It's no secret. A player like Bron who will be taking many many many pressure free throws needs to sharpen that skill.

However, the team played very well together in the first half, and even for much of the 4th despite the turnovers.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

boobie missing wide open shots

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Rotations were horrible! I like that Gibson wants to be more than a spot of up shooter but I think it's best for him to carry that role right now. Several times he could've shot it but instead he just dribbled the heck out of the ball.

We had so many isolation plays, Sasha iso, Gibson iso, Lebron iso, Z iso, AV iso. There was no ball movement whatsoever. To top all of that off Lebron played bad, and Mo had a pretty bad game as well. Overall too many turnovers and our defense was bad. Everyone was getting And 1's on the celtics team. Tony Allen and Leon Powe abused us.
