Game 1 -|- Nets @ Cavs -|- Wed. October 30th, 7:00PM.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's a home-opener for a Cleveland sports team, of course it's a sellout.

I think our crowd will help us to a victory for the opener, to think we are going to get "slaughtered" is absurd... Have a little faith in your team. We can beat anyone in the league, not consistently yet but we can beat anyone on any night. And if Bynum comes back it will give us an extra boost.

Remember last year how Tristian went against KG ?
He's gonna do it again !

To beat them at THIS game, I think we have it. Not for the season overall, but for one game and it being the first, we should win

LETS GO CAVS!

it was actually me who used the term slaughtered and I am one of the more optimistic posters on the board. It isnt really about faith its more about people not seeing whats going on in Brooklyn.
This isnt boston. pierce and Garnett arent "the guy" they are pieces and not the core and if anyone can save Deron Williams career its these guys. the Nets have had talent the last few years what they have been missing is leadership. they got it in spades now.

Cavs only really had one elite quality opponent in the preseason. getting it handed to them in the opening game wont be the end of the season.

I think the Cavs will find a way to win but id rather see this game later in the schedule but it appears to me that people are ignoring how good this brooklyn team is.

I'm so hyped, it's ridiculous.

Disagree, I actually think Brooklyn is getting over hyped and over valued, not saying they aren't a top 4 team in east, but they are being overrated by some. We will just have to wait and see when the bright lights come on. I think we have a pretty good shot at home opening night and that will be Brooklyn's first actual game with all the new pieces.

dont see this going well. We will be good later in the season, but Bennet apparently sucks right now and no bynum. Then we would compete with a team like this. Now, we wont.

I know nothing about basketball, keep in mind

That's fairly evident from your post, no offense...

I thought all those xxxxx's ment he really liked Booze and sex yet not Basketball, hmmm?

I thought all the X's meant he was waiting for his Inmate number to be assigned by the California Department of rehabilitation. Where he can launch his next career as the next incarceratedbob.

Anyways i see the pierce and ganrett acquisition by the nets akin to the lakers bringing in Karl Malone(40) and Gary Payton(25).
The lakers may not have won the finals but they made it there. something that despite having shaw and Kobe did not accomplish the year before.

Garnett and Pierce already have their on court chemistry as does Williams,Lopez and Johnson. garnett and Pierce may be past their prime but they dont need to be.

Cavs arent going to beat them with depth. The Irving Waiters duo will have their work cut out for them with a Deron thats not being asked to be a volume shooter and Joe Johnson at 6'7 is still an top notch defender at the sg position.
Pierce is a clear matchup advantage at the forward position and Garnett wont have to play the center position.

At center you have Brook lopez and although AV as an individual ahs gotten the better of Lopez .One does not expect him to duplicate his 35 point outburst he had ion their last matchup (which ended as a lost)

I will be happy with anything under a 10 point loss for this opener. The Cavs defense although improved is still inconsistent and the offense will have to execute at a very high level against a very experienced Brooklyn team.

Cavs though do have 11 out of their next 14 that are very winnable. I think they match up well with Indiana and play them close. Chicago, Spurs and Heat good barometer games.

Ill be pleased if the Cavs can get off to a 12-8 or better start their first 20 games

I'd be pleased if the Cavs were at .500 for the first 20 games.

This team has slow start written all over it.
