Game 12 | Cleveland @ Washington | November 18, 2009 | 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm offended.

Anyway, glad I had to miss this game due to work tonight. From what I saw on my phone it seemed like the tale of two halves. Anyone care to give me a quick rundown (emphasis on quick, and keep it from being overly pessimistic)? And LeBron hurt his wrist I see--How and when?

Thanks a lot. Hopefully this wakes the team up a bit for Indiana (since the last three games have been sloppy, going up big only to let the opponent get back in the game by the fourth quarter).
1st half we played, moved on offense, hit alot of shots.
2nd half no defense, no movement, no rebounding. LeIso. Wizards hit their shots.

LeBron hurt his wrist throwing down a left hand slam, because he was pissed about previous calls and how things were going in the game. He said in the post game that was not the case but it's a bold face lie.

It was fun to watch in the sense that LeBron was getting testy

LeBron seemed to lose his cool in the 4th quarter and did some dumb stuff, which included a crazy moster left-handed dunk where he injured his wrist. He thinks the wrist is OK, but Windy tweeted that it is still sore. More to come.
In postgame interviews he said it's numb been icing it for a bit, just hurt it again because he first hurt it in the first Wizards game in Cleveland. He's fine.

Windy asked Bron once Stevenson started playing in the 2nd half if he kinda went after Stevenson and wanted to show him up, to which LeBron denied.

Here's good news from Windy via Tweet:
It's just sore and bruised, everyone's trying to make it into more.

I thought what was funny, when LeBron said, "I hit my funny bone, but it wasn't funny at all" I could've sworn the only person who was or could be heard laughing was the douche McLeod.

By the by, I think McLeod is gay for Jamario Moon.

The next time we face the Wizards we better put West in the game to post him up. Boykins is a terrific offensive player but if you change your lineup to force him to guard guys who can post up like West it would be a great way to perk up a stagnant offense.

FYI credit to the Wiz for switching to the zone: we didn't handle it very well at all

Losing always sucks, but for some reason... this game doesn't bother me at all. I feel encouraged that we got throttled, out-rebounded, out-"I-can't-feel-my-faced", out-worked, and out-smarted. That means we're still human. And that means we'll get better and fix those dirty issues, with or without our missing guys.

It's like Windy said, you can't drive home a point as well if you're winning. Otherwise, we're a bunch of robots. He also said we always struggle with this team in their building. I mean, they DO care more about winning a regular season game against us than we ever will, with the 3 series victories being the proof.

Seriously, read this blog. It's good shit.

I look forward to us getting back on track. I still feel we may lose some gimmies and maybe a couple straight, but there's no better medicine to a professional basketball team than losing.

One change was made in this game... and it decided the entire contest

Flip Saunders went into a matchup Zone

Mike Brown countered with his trusty dusty Iso

Flip Saunders won because this wasnt the playoffs and LeBron didnt play with the sense of urgency he does in the postseason, against the other elite teams, or in Madison Square Garden.

Game, Set, Match

My only concern with this game was Mo. We are basically relying on him to be a 2nd option and he has just been too inconsistent for my taste.

It's like with this team, you know Lebron will def bring it, but after that it's still kind of a crapshoot and that is a problem.

This game also showed how much we miss Andy's rebounding. We got eaten alive on the glass, that was the difference in this game really.

That was a zone??:chuckles: Not challenging U..just after watching it I thought it was some stupid junk defense..
I've seen better zones on a national radar map..
What I thought was also stupid was Jamesion just having his way..I mean you don't even bang this guy around and see if he can take it..
The Cavs were passive ...they stopped being aggressive ..

Watching the game it seemed like Mo had 0 points, is this true?

I know he hit a turn around jumper over Earl Boykins but other than that, he was like an apparition aside from some nice assists in the first quarter.

LBJ goes iso. Mike Brown doesn't.

If the MVP doesn't want to play on the block or drive, he won't. Simple as that.
The coaches tell him to drive, go to the block.

LBJ is the final say in his decisions. Last night was typical back to back LeIso.
Those 2 made 3's to go up 66-60 was the worst and best thing to happen.
It cost a W but it gives the coaching staff more tape to prove LeIso and heat checks don't win games.

With no Shaq. The coaching staff should force LBJ to take 5-10 shots alone in the paint. It just opens everything else up.

LeIso just gives time for the Wizards to recover to shooters. It puts absolutely no pressure on the defense. The defense wants LeSettle to show up everygame.

That's the problem, there has never been any kind of accountability for Lebrons actions. I am sick of the coddling in an attempt to keep him from leaving. If he doesn't like reaching the next level and doesn't want to hear some tough love from coaches then he can be gone for all I care. I honestly think that he is enough of a professional to be able to take a little lashing for freelancing.

I appreciate what he has done and he seems to have an incredible work ethic but I witnessing a lot of lackadaisical effort on the defensive end (The one area you'd think there would be some accountability) and an arrogant approach to the offense that takes us out of our game plan. How many pissing contests are we gonna witness where Lebron flexes his ego muscles at the expense of the team? I can live with the bone headed off balance passes that lead to turnovers because he makes so many great ones as well but these pull up 5 ft beyond the arc 6 seconds into the shot clock heat checks are growing old. It makes me mad even if he makes them.

Yes we don't want to coddle LeBron, but the kid has been coddled his entire life.
The only way he has ever learned is from failure.

I posted an article a couple weeks back from that trainer he worked out with back in 2008. That guy told him straight up he couldn't dribble, had no goto move and LBJ basically blew him off and I don't he has worked with that guy since.

So today we have Mike Brown and Chris Jent. Both have done wonders with LBJ. They taught that defense was important and he responded. Which to me in this day and age is probably one of the hardest things to get across to these players today. Who wants to play defense today? Matt Barnes himself was just quoted that he wished he was in Phoenix running up and down. Mike Brown got LBJ to love playing defense. Thats a huge accomplishment.

Mike Brown is a players coach and LBJ has responded to it as well. He likes being in control which he always has been even back in his days he played at STV. The kid was always the PG. It makes sense that when he hit the NBA, he wanted to have the ball in his hands.

Jent and Brown had him working on a mid-range game and post game in the offseason. He talked about using it in games. I'm sure Brown calls plays for it, but It is up to LBJ to get down on the block and get dirty. If Mike Brown forced him to do that, he might be turned off just as he was with the trainer.

This is LBJ's world. I don't think any coach except for Phil Jackson is going to get LBJ to change his ways. LBJ is going to run any team he is on. Right now failures like last night are the only way he is going to learn.

Its up to the coaching staff to reply that part of the game several times and not just note what LBJ did, but how they were up 6, and should have went for the throat. Penetrated, got to the line, etc....

I'm sure Mike Brown does that.
It also didn't help Ferry and Paxson gave this team zero pgs until Mo was obtained.
Even Mo isn't a true pg. LBJ was basically the pg of the team for 5 years until Mo and Delonte showed up. LBJ has been playing pg his entire life.

It is also deflating to a team that lets a guy come back from injury and pour in 30+.
The team really missed AV last night.

Tough to hide Hickson's defense next to Z. One of the main reasons they moved Hickson to PF next to Shaq was because of his defense with Z imo.
We had nobody on the bench to stop Jamison.

Delonte is just not back in the flow offensively yet.
