I'm watching on FSN Ohio HD, it's just Cavaliers Live. :)

Looks like it was a pair of shoes Lebron tossed into the crowd, never seen him do that before

so anyone still not convinced the delonte can defend tall shooting guards?

Yes, ME! Did u watch the game? We doubled Joe Johnson everytime he caught the ball. Z came out so he couldn't look over the top. A strategy like that may have worked this time but I would like to see it again to truly believe it.

A strategy like that will NEVER work against Kobe because the triangle offense requires ball movement and player movement. Bynum will be getting lobs all day if we were to do that.

This game just confirmed what I have been saying all along, Delonte should come off the bench for us. We need to have that type of firepower off the bench. Boobie has played horribly and he can't create for others.

I still think that we need to pull of a trade for a SG.

Delonte has harder matchups. I would say he has been our most consistent guy. The Pistons are the only ones so far that I would say have actually taken advantage of him. He really should take it to the hole more. His finishing has been much better since he has been playing with LBJ.

I disagree he was much better finisher his first couple years believe it or not. I think injuries has caused him not to be so aggressive to the basket now.

Boobie is really starting to worry me. The guy has only shot good in two games thus far (against the the bobcats and the nuggets).

Hickson has not impressed me at all. He hasn't gotten much time but the time he goes out there and it seems like the guy doesn't have a brain.

Our bench needs to be able to produce alot better if we seriously want to compete for a championship.

boobie is so off this season...boobie and lebron 3pt shooting is comparable now when you look at stats(well the last time i check)....boobie where are you

man hickson is looking like a real rookie...look at every other rookie, jason thompson doing his thing,i heard the wizs pick is doing good...but jj wasn't actually a 19th pick...he was supposed to be lower so...jj is clearly not ready,it seems he don't know how to post but he is a rookie..to be honest i havent seen MUCH flashes as everyone says

we can be good if we trade for a big...for example trade for kaman and have him come off the bench while he get similar mins...that way he can get his shots and we can have a good 2nd unit

Boobie has been awful these last few games...:thumbdown

Tue 25 @ New York
Wed 26 vs Oklahoma City
Fri 28 vs Golden State
Sat 29 @ Milwaukee
Wed 03 vs New York
Fri 05 vs Indiana
Sat 06 @ Charlotte

4 home, 3 away, 3 back-to-backs but all against bad teams except Indiana and Golden State and even they aren't that good.

Could we be lookin at another 8 game streak including tonight? I hope we go atleast 6-1 in those games above.

wow these are such boring matchups/games(other than NY and GS)...but should be another winning streak as you say...can't wait to play phili, tor, hou and all the good teams

If we could get Kaman I would start him over Z. Then Z could come off the bench and Delonte or Boobie could set up the pick & pops and we would have scoring off the bench. Z would space the floor out for the other bench players which is something they need. Delonte should come off the bench and set things up. Our bench is no where near the level of the lakers, utah, hawks, etc...

We're not going to win the championship with just LBJ and Mo.

Wow, now it's my turn to ask why there are a ton of negative nancies after a comfy win.

so anyone still not convinced the delonte can defend tall shooting guards?

If we help properly, there shouldn't be a problem. the hardest thing to defend against in this league nowadays are quick driving players. They are going to get around people because of the hand checking rules. Nobody can check Chris Paul or Kobe one on one. But we can play smart help defense and try to make them make tough shots or make wrong decisions.

VC and JJ definitely underestimated our defense with Delonte at the 2spot, knowing those two players, they won't even try to adjust. We have to see how smart players adjust to seeing our defense with West in there. Kobe adjusts, ginobili adjusts, Rip adjusts, etc..

Help defense is the most important part of defense especially nowadays. As long as Lebron and Ben challenge shots when penetration happens, we will be able to get by with West guarding the good 2guards.

You are kidding right? We played the Pick N Roll by doubling the ball/hedging. We didn't specifically double JJ. I mean we trapped when we could I agree but we didn't just go and double every time he got the ball. We played our normal defense. NOthing new or special except if you want to count the more aggressive nature of the pick n roll defense.

Your confirmation is pretty much bogus. I have to ask can anyone shut Kobe? Its about help defense and playing smart. The Lakers play better when everyone gets involved, so if Kobe wants to get 40 points let him, that means others are out of the game. Let him get 40 on 30-35 shots. That would be great!

Also, who says we will be so aggressive against the Lakers? Why are you worried about a couple games againt the lakers in November? Delonte is being so efficient because of the combination of players on the court. If you haven't noticed Mo Williams is basically the point guard of the 2nd team. Boobie barely plays point guard. Mo for about 9 minutes, then Delonte for the next 3, Boobie 'sometimes' for a couple then Mo comes back in. I like our guard rotation now. If anything, we need an upgrade over Boobie right now, but i think Boobie's shot will get back on soon.

I'm not. He was getting a lot of help. Plus JJ is definately not as good on Kobe or MacGrady. Who are really the most likely we will see in the finals. We should wait for those matchups before we say DWest has been a good defender. He is not as bad as I thought, but still wait and see.

Why are we worrying about the Lakers now? Lets see how we are playing in March and April. Lets see if Darnell Jackson can give us a lift or Hickson grows up a little. Lets See if Boobie gets his shot back. The Lakers basically play a starter Odom off the bench much like Ginobili for the Spurs. He should be starting.

Odom, ARiza, Farmar and Vujacic is their bench and Kobe, Fisher, Gasol, Bynum and Radman is their starters. There are obvious some mismatches on both sides. Kobe over West and Radmand vs Lebron. I don't see mismatches other than that. They don't use Bynum as a scorer much so Z should be okay. Ben and Andy can frustrate Gasol. When they do their Farmer/Vujacic backcourt..we match up well with Mo/West... Kobe on Lebron... big/andy vs gasol and z on Bynum... The weakest link to me is at backup center and power forward for us...because our bigmen are not versatile Therefore we need to fill the gaps. We need a Joe Smith so we can keep teams honest on the help and so we can play Big Ben at Center more.

Of course help is needed in any defense. I am tired of these types of statements. Its all about rotations and help in the NBA since the rules have swayed to the offense (ie handchecking). Certain players get free passes for being physical like Artest and Bowen but the majority like West do not get free passes, therefore help is needed for west just like most.

I'm amazed that West just had a great rebound game against one of the top scorers in the league (JJ came in averaging 26) and we have negative things to say. Dwest gets 19 against JJ's 4 points...and he still gets negative things said about him. Joe Johnson had 3 turnovers and shot 1-8 Its okay when rip or whoever scored 23 and Delonte gets 10 but this game, we shouldn't say anything negative. The game was never in doubt. Lets celebrate! 3 days off til the next game.

Mo/West 42 points, 9 assists, 1 to (in garbage time), 7 rebounds, 16-29 fg, 5-12 3p, 5-5 FT.
Bibby/JJ 14 points, 6 assists, 3 to, 3 rebounds, 5-17 fg, 2-6 3p.

That pretty much sums up the game.

PS. We should also know that Hawks were on the 2nd game of a back to back.
