Game 21 | Cleveland @ Memphis | December 8th, 2009 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Cavs are going to have those days. For some reason, I'm not that upset about this game. I was definitely upset when the Bulls got us. The Boston loss irritated me. But this loss actually didn't bother me. The only part I was emotional about was in the heat of the game and those clutch plays. Mayo got a good shot. LeBron drew some fouls. Then Conley got Shaq. LeBron couldn't set up the three as well but still had a look.

Oh well, there will be games like this, because all teams have them. The Celtics, Magic, Lakers, etc.

Now let's work off the frustration and hope we recover. It was a lesson learned about force-feeding the big man. Losing like this can only help for the future. And I have not expected the Cavs to run away with or be assured that 1st seed since VERY early on.

Don't spaz out guys. We will be ready when it really matters (by the way, too bad Moon didn't play, it could've been helpful against Gay...).

A few props to Memphis for making some ballsy shots.

Also, to all you freaking out and getting mad at Imadogg for saying what he is saying, you need to chill. He contributes to this board enough that he can have few posts that may not be pleasing to everyone's ears every once and a while. You should count your blessings to have opposing fans like him on this board that actually give a valuable viewpoint compared to what we used to have.

Yes some people get carried away, but you are making a huge leap with the words "you all"
And that personal attack on Lebron would get you run if I was a MOD!!!

You know what, You all have attitude problems! Just like your "King"! Grow up!

I think its more pathetic for OJ Mayo to say this is the biggest game he has been a part of with the Grizzlies? Really a game to put you 3 below .500 instead of 4 in the beginning of December is your career highlight as of right now?

What the hell is he smoking and can he pass it along...

Look at the box score, the teams were incredibly even, Memphis picked up 6 points at the foul line (shooting a lower percentage there), the Cavs picked up 4 points from 3, even in FG makes. Turnovers were costly, only reason we lost.

Turnovers lost this game for sure, but we were hurting in length on the perimeter. They have 2 lesser Lebrons playing the 2 and 3. That was tough to guard.

It was a big game for Mayo. He had terrible outings against the Cavs because of their defense, so it was a breakout game against one of the league's best.

Give him a break. His experience is short in the NBA, and he's not been on a world beater either... geez...

Mo Williams played awful defense in the 4th. Big reason we couldn't get any stops.

We missed Moon last night big time.

I agree with BW, the offense really stalled trying to force feed Shaq.
LeBron forgot what a mid-range game was....Rudy Gay did exactly what he wanted to on defense, force long jumpers and take LeBron into LeIso to shut down his other teammates.

Ugly game...hate those type of games against a inferior opponent that the Cavs play down to.
It should have never went in OT at all ,let alone Conley being able to drive against Shaq with no weakside help help coming over.

I don't blame this loss on him at all and I love me some healthy Delonte but he has to be one of the least clutch players in the league.

2 years ago against Boston in the 2nd round in the closing minutes, Bron ran a pick & roll with Delonte and got him a WIDE open 3, and he bricked it. I can't remember if it would have given us the lead or tied, but it for sure took us out of the game. Last year against Orlando in game 1.. Delonte had another WIDE open 3 from the left hand side that I believe would have given us the lead, and he bricked it. And again tonight, West got himself what AC calls a "bird" and he had a couple seconds to measure up and once again he bricked it.

He made a big shot against Washington awhile back in the 1st round but he was closed out, maybe one of our guys should run at him so he can make the 3.

Of course there is always more than one thing to blame a loss on and this game had more than enough things to chose from poor defense against P&R to bad coaching and play calling (LeIso). But if I had to chose the biggest, I would have to say turnovers. Especially the ones by LeBron where he let the defense beat him to the ball on 2 passes from Mo...
