Game 3 | Cavs @ Hornets Nov. 1st, 8:00PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've never seen Peja get sucked off so hard in my lifetime.

This is my take

Lebron is trying to be more of a passer than a scorer. Isnt that why we got a pg? Mo is trying to be more of a scorer than a passer. What? Yea as of right now i believe the coach's and lebron and mo have that state of mind. We traded for mo because we needed someone that can score but also help our lack of an offensive threat. Mo is a pg and should be looking to be more of a passer and get the offense running instead he is barely bringing the ball up court. We are using him more off of picks and screens then on the ball.
Lebron imo is saying to himself "Im going to get in the post and take one dribble, maybe two and find the open man." He needs to get in the state of mind of the hell with my teammates im going to score and no one can stop me. He only had 15 points today but he also had 13 assists. My point exactly.
Now i sort of expected this coming into the season. Its going to take a couple more practices and games before we really can see what this team can do. Also i think this just proves we are still in need of another LEGIT scoring option. Jason Richardson, a PF that can score in the post something.

We got another tough game against a good team in Dallas. I expect us to rebound and mo and lebron to rebound from today but I still expect to see mo running off of screens alot and lebron being a facilitator. So it will be the same game plan but this time we will execute it.

You are basing an entire season on one game against a good team (Tyson and Peja are not contributors every night)...that is called an overreaction. We are three games we have lost to two good team in their house during there home opener. To make a prediction NOW on where we will be in 5-6 months...pointless.

Um...I didnt predict where we'll be in 6 months. I said right now this isnt a championship team. And right now I dont think it is. Can and will we be better in 3 months, 6 months?

Damn, I sure hope so. Who knows?

Why is everyone mad at Bron? He did what he could. I would have not trusted anybody other than him or Kobe to shoot all those 3's. It's just too bad none of those went in. I'm not oblivious to the fact that those were bad shots. Let's just move on as tomorrow is another game. Bitching over what happened in this game wouldn't reverse the outcome anyways.

Everyone should be glad that some of their dreams were realized in this game . He didn't have to play 48 minutes. Check. None or barely any LeISO. Check. He doesn't have to have a monster 30-10-10 performance. Check.

So look on the bright side, fan.

Our defense and Lebron and Mo playing bad was the reason we lost. Its as simple as that.

We need another player next to lebron and Mo. We desperately need a post option. A guy who can post up and open up the floor for everybody. If we can't get that then we need to get a star SG. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we should go after VC again.

I dont want to risk Lebron staying here based on the "CHANCES" of Chris Bosh or someone else coming here. We are in the "win now" mode so we should make these types of moves.

iite, this is probably gonna be my last post in this thread (or at least for tonight). After calming down.

Like i said before, i think this game was lost due to LeBron. No offense to him, he didnt try like i KNOW he can. I know he'll bounce back and find his rhythm soon enough but still. Like glass said, we keep underachieving and playing down to our teams levels. Our bench is good, are scorers scored, are defenders defended, even MB did PRETTY GOOD (ala better than usual...thats not saying much) tonight.

LeBron keeps being one or the other, a scorer or the playmaker. Why cant you just be both? Like CP3 was tonight. Didnt look like he played hard either for the majority of the game. At times he did, like in the first and some of the third and some other times but at others it was like whatever. Though i think it started around the time when he got unnecessarily T'd up

The refs also kept the cavs outta this one. Whenevert they came within 1-2 pts they called bullshit on the cavs. Like the retarded T on Lebron, which i still think messed up there pacing for the rest of the game.

Woulda shoulda coulda. Didnt
Gonna move on now, LeBron didnt play bad. Its just that it wasnt really GOOD. When he needed to for the cavs to win it tonight

Yaawwwwnnn...same shit, different year. One bad loss, and this team is in the lottery.

Relax, people it's only game 3. Mo is new. He's still getting acclimated to the team. Especially on the defensive side...he played on the worst defensive team in the league last year. Now he's moved to one of the best. He needs some time to adjust. He's going to have an off night, especially when he's getting lit up on the defensive end.

This team is lightyears ahead of the team that started out last season. Larry was a very good defender, but a black hole on O. Drew was a decent offensive PF...but completely killed the defensive flow with his brain cramps. Sasha and AV were worthless (or nonexistant) because of holdouts. There are only 6 players from last year's opening roster (ESnow, AV, Sasha, LBJ, Z, Boobie), and 2 of them were the holdouts. Mike Brown is still trying to flesh out what he needs to do with this team, whether it is the rotation, lineups, schemes, etc. The only guys he can trust to understand and play his D effectively, at this point, are LBJ, Z, AV, and maybe Gibson. Pavs can't get his head out of his rear, so he's useless. He's gotta teach these guys as best he can, but, unfortunately, it's going to be rough for a little while.

Plus...I'd rather have LBJ resting for these games...they'll still easily make the playoffs...and be fresher in the 2nd half/playoffs. He's played a ton of basketball in the past 2 years. If I remember correctly last season, LBJ had the same kind of crappy, non-chalant type game during game 1 (10 pts on 2-11 shooting; 5 TOs)...with the same reactions by some RCFers...and he still managed to have a fairly good season with a 30-7-7 and within 5 minutes of beating the eventual champions...with a roster that was 50% different than that game.

Grab a beer, let the temps cool...and realize that the best all around player on the planet plays on your favorite team...and enjoy it.

Why is everyone mad at Bron? He did what he could. I would have not trusted anybody other than him or Kobe to shoot all those 3's. .

Not to be negative, but I don't think Lebron has made a 3pter yet this season...he is due for a monster game some time soon (I hope)

Still not changing the fact that I still trust LeBron. Yeah he's 0-9 for this season but let's not act that he's never gonna bounce back from his slump.

New Orleans was missing two starters, the Cavs got to play a road game without having played the night before. They looked lost in the crunch on both ends of the court. It's not surprising that people are upset.

With NO banged up some this really should have been a game we came in primed to take, but nope...

Not really...they had a couple of guys banged, but this was their home opener. They were jacked to win it for the home fans. Plus some help from the refs...the fact that the Cavs had a chance going into the 4th with the refs against them, Mo shooting like LH, and LBJ playing his worst game in a year, should tell you that this team will be downright dangerous when they can put it together.

I am not worried. They don't play the championship after 3 games. They play it after at least 90 more.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. LeBron needs to work on that terrible jumpshot that he has. Teams are not stupid as we again saw tonight how the Hornets packed the paint. LeBron passed the ball well but he couldn't get going offensively because he couldn't drive to the rim. Someone has to tell this guy to work on his pull up jumper because its almost non-existent right now. To me, LeBron is the problem right now and if he doesn't get this part of his game fixed, the Cavs will always be a "2nd round" team. I can't believe this guy still doesn't have a consistent jumpshot after being in this league for 5 yrs.:thumbdown

It's 3 games, but when it's the same old stuff that's been killing us for 3 years, why shouldn't we be concerned?

Is Lebron saving his FT making for the playoffs? His jump shot too? Is Mike Brown waiting to unleash his ability to effectively game plan for a later date? Why did it seem like New Orleans could get any shot they wanted in the final minutes, but we were jacking up contested jumpers left and right when we weren't turning the ball over?

When the same fundamental things consistently break down, concern is warranted.
