1) This was not a game won by the Cavs offense. The 86 points scored today equals what the Cavs scored in game 1 and was less than what was scored in game 2. Mike Brown said it over and over again in the post-game press conference, this game was won with defense. When he talked about momentum shifts, it was defensive momentum. How did the Cavs eat into that 10 point lead in the 3rd? It was getting enough defensive stops for the offense to slowly close the gap.

2) But what I was most impressed with was that this team again showed end of game execution. The Pistons managed to tie it up 4 times late in the 4th, and each time the Cavs responded with a score to make sure they never lost the lead or gave up momentum. Guys were hitting their free throws, I don't think anyone missed in the 4th quarter for either team. Basically, the Cavs pulled off yet another game where they had a chance to win down the stretch. For the first time I can say I like our chances when the game is tied with 2 minutes remaining. The trick from here on out is to keep these games competitive so we have a chance to win in the 4th.

I numbered your pts. here myself. Hope that doesnt bug you.

1) Mike Brown has impressed me as much as the team has. We have really had some games where our defensive stops have won them for us. I have been very impressed with LeBron and Drew's man to man especially. It aint perfect but they're both very energetic and sometimes that's all it takes.

Meanwhile...how spectacular was that one LeBron steal where he cut off the passing lane to (I think) Tayshaun and leaped into the air to pull it down just inside the baseline around the three pt. line. I was screaming at that one. Wow.

2) I have been in disbelief at myself for trusting a Cleveland team down the stretch. In the final minutes of these playoff games..when we've been close, we've won them. It's been solid defense and high % shots. And that combo cannot be underestimated in the final mins.

Good defense by Cleveland in the second half. In the first half Detroit missed a lot of wide open shots, can't be expecting that to continue throughout the series.

Can they continue it? History would suggest no, but that is why they play the games.

I didn't see the game yesterday..I was at my cottage..Very nice win!

I see LeWalkingTripleDouble was his normal self :king:
