Game 39 | Cavaliers vs. Warriors | January 18th, 2016 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've been saying this all this season:

Did anyone get injured? No? Good game them. We only care about the playoffs.

Yes. Like I said, we did the same thing in the regular season games against Golden State and then we defended them totally differently in the Finals.

And LeBron never plays hard until around the All Star break. He's still coasting through the season. We'll look like a different team down the stretch just because of the example he'll set and the effort he'll demand when he does. The team is fine, they're just not focused at all right now.

I hope you're right and that the urgency is dialed up later in the year. I just find it hard to believe that Blatt intentionally wasn't implementing winning basketball on Monday.

Lebron, Blatt, this team, have a playoff gear. Blatt is not going to push anyone's buttons to go all out In a regular season game, no matter who it is. It turned out ugly because the Warriors were putting on a clinic. In a playoff game a lot of guys get much closer to the side of the scale that says "play it like your life depends on it". You never gonna get it from this team when not only they lead the conference, they probably win the conference with an 8th seed if you put them there just for experiment purposes.

We all know that. The Warriors in a true sense are probably much closer to being the team we should beat with a healthy Kyrie and Love than a team the Cavs can't hang with.

The only thing Cavs better realize now is that the Warriors are going all out this year. As I said before the narrative that played out created a situation where the Warriors are basically playing for two championships. If they lose to Spurs/OKC/Clips/Cavs they basically lost last year title too. Everyone outside Bay Area would put one fat ass asterisk on their title. They know it. They swing to the motherfukcing fences because of that. Cavs,Blatt,Lebron need to understand what is going on. It is one thing not to be good enough to win a championship. It is another to win a title with everyone kinda doubt the quality of the accomplishment and then to validate everyone's doubt. Warriors just not going to let that happen. It will require a monumental effort to destroy them. The Spurs are probably up to the task but if GSW somehow survives that challenge Cavs better be ready.
