Game 4 | Cavaliers @ Mavericks Nov. 3rd, 8:30PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Checked out the play by play.

Andy and Ben did a great job on Dirk. Man if Ben can play like this in the playoffs we'll be great. Only one thing is worrying me, Boston, NO, and Dallas and teams in the preseason are being able to get ALOT OF POINTS in the paint on us. Teams like Lakers (with Gasol and Bynum) will destroy us because they are talented big men who can score in the paint.

Lebron struggled shooting the ball and we still won by 19. That is very good sign. Hopefully Lebron gets into a good rhythm. He did a great job on his FT's though.

We didn't turn the ball over much at all. Delonte did a great job. I would still love to have him with the second unit though. However, unless we get a better 2 guard he should continue to start. I dont think Pavlovic or Wally would knock down shots the way he is doing and hustle the way he does. They also wouldn't be able to create for others the way he does.

So you ask for us to describe the game in vivid detail, complain about lack of information, find it yourself, and make observations you can find on any page of this thread? Very good.

That is the thing I was most impressed with in this game. LBJ actually hitting his FT's.

Hahhaha, just saw the highlights. Loved Lebron and Ben going crazy on the bench while Mo was putting on a show.

Not to take anything away from the win, but Dallas looked like a shell of their former selves. Or maybe it's better to say that the Cavs just made them look sick in the 1st and 4th quarters.

Great win. I most enjoyed the handful of plays where the whole team passed well, leading to an open shot. Loved that little flick by West to Z during the big run. Even without Mo's crazy spell they looked like they had some clues on offense for more of the game tonight.

Watching the bench get into it was great, too, especially this early in the year.

p.s. Ben and Wally are contributing so far.

Like a lot of people said a few days ago, coming out of the road trip 2-2 would be OK. As long as we continue to find an identity offensively.

Hats off to LeBron, he hit his free throws. Also, good game by Andy. He's back to the Wild Thing we've loved for years, and he's all over the place. Great to see.

I missed the game.....

CliffNotes anyone?

DALLAS -- LeBron James snapped a third-quarter tie with a flying rebound-layup, then Mo Williams broke things open early in the fourth, sending the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 100-81 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

James was only 8-of-20, but scored 29 points and took over when his team needed it. Cleveland let a 16-point lead fritter into a tie at 63, then Daniel Gibson missed a jumper from the corner, only to see James zoom in, grab the rebound and bank it in, all in one motion. He followed with a three-point play and a pair of free throws.

The Cavs ended the quarter ahead by six, then Williams scored nine points during a 13-0 run at the start of the final period. Williams capped his spurt with a 3-pointer so long that his defender, Dallas' Jason Terry, walked away saying, "Whooo."

Dirk Nowitzki was held to eight points on 3-of-11 shooting as the Mavericks fell to 0-2 at home. Their only lead was 2-0, on a jumper by Nowitzki. He missed his next seven shots, failing to hit another until late in the third quarter.

Josh Howard led the Mavs with 18 points. Antoine Wright and Gerald Green were the only other players to hit double figures, each scoring 10.

Cleveland, which had been 0-2 on the road, scored nine straight points after Nowitzki's game-opening basket and never trailed again. The Cavs were up 28-12 late in the first quarter, then pushed the lead into the 20s by the middle of the fourth. Fans streamed out early, while those who stayed offered plenty of boos.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Williams and Delonte West added 14 points, and Wally Szczerbiak had 10. Ben Wallace didn't score, but had 13 rebounds.

James had a season-low three assists. He came in averaging 9.3.

Game notes
Dallas' Jerry Stackhouse did not play. Coach Rick Carlisle said Stackhouse is battling a foot problem. ... Cavs coach Mike Brown was an assistant to Carlisle in Indiana. "I learned a lot from him," Brown said. "I'll always be indebted to him. Great coach. Brilliant mind." ... Wright returned to the starting lineup despite having been benched the entire previous game. His reward was covering James. He covered Tracy McGrady in the opener, his other start.

Yep. That's what good defense does...it makes sports writers think that the Cavs only win games when other teams suck. When in reality, it's our good defense in action!

Wow, I actually feel bad for the guy. I mean, wow. True pity. Sad. Hahahaha.

Where's Wally World:( His boy played good today, He dunked on someone:thumbup:

Time for Camakazee's neat-o stats of the night:
(sponsored by ?)

- This marks only the 17th time in LeBron's career in which he logged 29 or more points, but 3 or less assists (The Cavs record in those games is 10-7).

- However, this is only the sixth time in his career that LeBron has notched 29 or more points in 34 or less minutes (once again the bench helping to keep LeBron's minutes down, Mo in particular).

- The Cavs opened the fourth quarter on a 13-0 run. Those 13 points were gained in the first six possessions, ALL through Mo Williams. They included back-to-back Williams jumpers, an assist to Wally, another jumper, an assist to Z, and a long 3.

Might I ask your source for those stats?
