Game # 41: Cavaliers @ Golden State: Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
^^^shit, lots of energy.

Odds sasha goes for a career high: i say 60%

I always worry when an opposing team's player comes back from an injury, especially when they're at home. Just such a momentum booster for that team. Hopefully Ellis is not close to his usual form, and his return messes up any chemistry Golden State has had (if they've had any recently :chuckles:).

I just listened to The Don Nelson Show on AM 680 KNBR and updated my preview. Damn, I'm glad I didn't put too much time in on that first draft, because the Monta activation would have made all my work kind of useless anyway. I think its done now, so enjoy!

We will be okay if Sasha keeps on playing like he has. He is not trying to do too much and is just playing hard on the defensive end. His contributions on the offensive end will be a direct result of others which will make him efficient (hopefully). Wally getting offensive rebounds by hustling will be beneficial and new! :)

But if Mo, Delonte, Z or another player scores over 25 in any game I think we win. Somebody check that stat!

The strategy to beating a running team is simple. Impose your will, and take good shots because the defense will give them to you. Executing that gameplan without getting caught up in the running style, however, is not always so simple.

Best way to for the Cavs to win..do not run with them and stettle for long low percentage J's...
Get the ball inside and control the pace..make them play defense..which they can't..use your bench MB..

I really wish we could have seen a Delonte vs. Monta matchup tonight.

Biedrins might be out also, he has missed their last few games. If he's out we will win guaranteed, he is their only big.

This is the type of game JJ should get extended minutes too. He will be able to score on their frontcourt, I expect 15+ pts from JJ off the bench tonight.

I was just gonna say that....Andy should be having a party out there.

From what I have read, Biedrins practiced yesterday and had a little soreness in his wrist, but he expects to make his return tonight.

This is the latest on Andris from ESPN:

The Warriors may have to take the court again without starting center Andris Biedrins, who woke up Tuesday with a sprained left wrist.

Biedrins, averaging 13.7 points and 12.0 rebounds, was the only Golden State starter to have played in every game this season before being held out Wednesday. The NBA's third-leading rebounder is day-to-day.

He was listed as a definite scratch Wednesday, but after Nellie revealed that he was basically forced to get Monta into the starting lineup, who knows? I guess Mullin is truly circling the bowl in job security.

The strategy for this game is...... score more points than the other team.
