Game #42|Cavs @ Jazz|Sat. January 24th, 2009

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
AC sounds like a dunce and Fred is becoming more and more homerish by the day. I just want guys who get excited about the game, make intelligent observations, and give an objective view of the game.

AC and Fred just get excited.

We miss Reghi too.

At this point I'd take ANY team's announcers over ours. God is AC awful. Place a block in the mastiod. WTF was that all about he didn't even know what the mastoid was

I have NBA League Pass so I get to hear all of the various team's announcers. If you think Fred and AC are bad, believe me, by comparison they are definitely one of the better duos. Golden State's guys ARE very good, maybe the best tandem in the league, but I personally like Fred and AC. Try listening to the Detroit or Milwaukee crews sometime. Ugggh!

Yeah, AC and Fred are entertaining... They're so awful that it makes it fun to listen to...And now they're getting cocky during games as well...Talking serious smack...

I think Mo and LeBron might have broken a personal record for oops from a Cavs player to LBJ in a game tonight. What an exciting pace. Stats are up for those interested.

I actually like their entertainment value and some of their homerism. Not all of it, but definitely some of it. Some of the other teams' announcers are either deadpan no matter what happens, or they get insanely excited over the dumbest shit.

If Pavs can provide this off the bench, then we would not need to trade for another wing player..and we could use Wally's contract to get another big. Hopefully he will continue to grow on these performances and become more aggressive ala Delonte. Delonte was in total control at the time of his injury. If Sasha can mix it up and be confident in his offensive moves in any way shape or form like Delonte had been prior to his injury, we will be set in the backcourt.

Sasha is pretty much doing what Delonte did at the beginnig of the season and just stand around shooting 3 pointers and getting assists off of Mo/Lebron's long jumpers.

So let me get this straight...

Big Z and Delonte are out.
Lebrons arm is bothering him
Big ben fuxed his ankle tonight
Mo's knee is giving him trouble.
Gibson broke his shot.

what the hell is going on with these injuries (some minor)

I'm not really worried about the details tonight or some of the problems they had that still have to be addressed. Or some of the bad bench performances tonight. There are much better big picture things to think about:

4-1 since the Bulls game when West went down

8-4 since the last time Z played in Miami

3-1 on one of the toughest road trips of the season (feb. 26-mar. 2 is rougher with 4 road games in 5 nights)

2-0 vs. Utah, including a back-to-back win in Utah at the end of a trip, shorthanded.

Only 5 more road games vs. the Western Conference during the regular season

34-8

Every day is a day closer to Z's return and West's return. (and the trade deadline)

It just goes on and on.

You for real?

Indeed. Well I have 3 of them. One with no sleeves for really hot days. One with the sleeves, and one that I actually wear out and don't get all sweaty. I've got one in pretty much every color you can find them in. I need to get out more.

And for those whining about AC and Fred.. That's why you play the Austin Carr Drinking Game. And it becomes a lot more bearable to watch.

Anyone think when Delonte is back it might be better to start Sasha since Sasha is better on defense? Tough decision coming for Mike Brown!

You gotta forgive AC a little. He's been broadcasting the team for 9 years, including the 17-65 year before LeBron was drafted. Some of us could turn off the TV in disgust in those days. Think of the stuff he had to sit through! :)

Honestly, I think he's become even more fan than analyst than before, but that's what he's always been. It is kind-of amusing how his pure enthusiasm has totally infected Fred. Those guys were functioning on not a whole of sleep and a lot of caffeine.

Golden State announcers are great, Celtics at the bottom. I think the Cavs are somewhere in the middle, especially when the Cavs are losing (which hasn't happened often). AC and Fred are more critical and realistic of what's going wrong at those times. The Warriors announcers have a lot of practice broadcasting losses and have no reason to get carried away with glee.
