Game 45 | Thunder vs. Cavaliers | January 23, 2010 | 7:30 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not that it really matters, but after this game LeBron is set to take over the scoring lead in the NBA from Carmelo, unless Carmelo has a monster second half tonight.

Also, the Thunder are now 15-5 against the East, and two of those losses are to us.

What I was getting at is hightlighted and bolded for you. You said that "it's a loss". Therefore, the point of my original post was to assure you that you were wrong about said "loss", hence why I stated that you could go on and, "Eat crow, bro".

Hope this clears up my original quote and post for you...

I dont mean to butt in but i think his original post was meant as a jinx or something.....i think.:chuckles:

Tonight, Shaq played his season-high in minutes (32). It's a good thing we have days off between most games coming up, but still I hope that the coaching staff doesn't overuse him.

If he plays <20 minutes against Miami, so be it. These games are important, of course, but not as important as not wearing him down. Same goes for LeBron.

Its kind of scary how good the Thunder are at that young of an average age. I fully expect to be see that team in the Finals over the next few years. If they somehow land a talented big, watch out.

Shaq can handle close to thirty minutes for the stretch run. The important thing was keeping him rested for the early part of the season, which they did, but they need to spend the next few months getting his body conditioned for the playoffs where he'll be playing thirty minutes or so every single night. Plus, the upcoming all star break will give him some rest as well.

Well, with me popping in and out of the thread, I didn't realize that. I can't judge or gauge someone's typing for sarcasm very well. I didn't really know what he meant by his second sentence. If he was, in fact, trying to jinx us towards a win, then I didn't realize it.

He just seemed very negative throughout the thread towards the end of the game, so I guess I just figuered he was giving up.

If I am wrong, then I guess I'll have to suck it the fuck up and apologize, or "man-up", as I'd like to call it.:gap:

(It wasn't anything malicious directed towards him. I was just poking fun and having a good time with him. Wasn't trying to tick cmstophe off. LOL).

(If not, continue to go back and read this post over and over again sloooooooowly...);)

...why do you fail to read what I said in parenthesis? You are not this retarded. Clearly, mr Glass got what I was saying. Maybe he is just smarter than you.

edit: I see you "manned up" in your above post. I thought my constant referencing of reverse jinxes would make it obvious...I guess I was wrong. My bad then.

It is hard to know which RCF poster is the most effective anti-jinxer.

It's a pretty close race from pregame (nime, Maximus) to pre-halftime (Jigo) to anytime (cmstophe). :chuckles:

20 missed FT's is just ridiculous. Throw in 17 turnovers and you wonder how we won. When you're missing 3 members of your rotation and a few others don't show up, I guess you'll take a win any way you can get it.

Yeah, really. The Cavs kinda deserved to lose this one. I can understand Shaq missing so many FT's, but Bron should know better by now. At least he hit those two clutch ones so... that's... good... I guess.

And Hickson was better than Andy tonight.

Dude, it's gotta be me.

And I tried REALLY FUCKING HARD last year vs Orlando, and it didn't work. But it's been working good this season. I will keep it up.

edit: Wait, I just remembered, after we won Game 5 I took a "Fuck it, we're winning this series" attitude. SHIT!! No wonder we lost!

Read my edit as well, bro.

And do you really have to call me "retarded"? My 13-month old daughter is mentally disabled due to a serious epileptic disorder (which we still haven't managed to control and I am still trying to learn how to deal with). I know a lot of people around here throw "retarded" around like it is a joke. Just a little heads up that some Cav's fans (mainly myself) have a slight issue with this.

I know it's the internet, but from a Cav's fan to another Cav's fan, please don't directly refer to me as this again. I am clearly not "retarded" (as you can see if you have read any of my other posts around here). I just don't pick up on internet sarcasm that well. /endrant

EDIT: I'm still kind of new around here too, so I apologize. I can see that you are one of the key "jinxers" arond here. Now I know for next time, man. My bad...

I didn't notice that you were a relatively new user, and that you don't post too much, that is my fault. I also apologize if my word choice offended you, although I want to at least point out that I specifically made sure not to call you a "retard" but I still chose to use the word itself. I won't use it in a discussion with you again, I promise.

A lot of people get on me for being "pessimistic" or a "negative nancy" when half the time I'm simply joking (hint: I know reverse jinxes probably do not actually work), having fun, or posting a gut reaction like everybody else does during the game. I figured you were simply another hater, and did not notice your post count or anything else.

It really isn't a big deal, if I'd known it'd turn into a huge fiasco like this I'd have never responded in the first place...

You had no way of knowing, bro. No worries. I was simply messing with you, trying to poke a little fun and have a good time. Unless someone is being a complete jackass or talking immense shit, I won't ever attack anyone. I also can't stand "negative nancy's" or "bandwagon fans" (not saying you are one, man). I bleed wine and gold, whether LBJ stays or leaves. Whether we win 66 games, or lose 66 games. I am a Cleveland fan for life. Through thick and thin. And I expect everyone else here on this site to be one, too (or at least a die-hard Cav's fan.:chuckles:).

Again, don't worry about what you said. You had no way of knowing. I just hate that word that you used. I hope that you can understand where I am coming from (even if you aren't in the exact situation that I am in).

Now, to stay on track with this thread, great grind-it-out win, despite the way we won it. Good to see Boobie step up at the end and hit the clutch three-ball. I can't wait to see this team with all the pieces healthy (including Leon Powe). Man, oh man, this team is deep! We had no business winning this game after that second half display. Whether we keep our core or trade at the deadline, this team is the deepest in the league, IMHO.

Its kind of scary how good the Thunder are at that young of an average age. I fully expect to be see that team in the Finals over the next few years. If they somehow land a talented big, watch out.

Despite all of that, expect to hear wild Durant-to-NYC rumors if LeBron spurns the Knicks next July. Why would Durant want to stay in a podunk town like Oklahoma City on a team that's built to contend for the next decade when he could be the King of New York City!?!?

How the hell is it that Shaq plays 32 minutes and only takes 10 shots? He could of easily got 5 to 7 more shots and easily won this game without it coming down to the wire. I think Lebron makes his shots harder on himself. I didnt see one play where he went in the post and backed his man down for a shot 10 feet and in. With all that said i love OKC's team and they are a team to deal with.

i think one play before boobie hit the 3, lebron had jj wide open in the lane for a pass 3x, but held on to the ball and put up an ill-advised jumper... :/

" LeBron James misses 22-foot jumper"

(couple plays b4 boobies shot)
