(it's better to watch with volume off for this one, the best I could find of the clutchness from the earlier game)

<object height="340" width="560">

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7oThsdhzlx4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="340" width="560"></object>
(the dunk LeBron had from the same game)

(the most appropriate music for this showdown)

  • Battle of the Second Options (Battle of the O'Neals)
  • Frontcourt Dominance (Z/Shaq/Andy/J.J. VS. Joel/Jermaine/Udonis/Beasley)
  • The Young Coaches' Game Plan (stick it to 'em with the D)
What will this mean on TNT?

  • Another chance for LeBron to add to his MVP resume.
  • Another chance for Wade's revenge of the buzzer-beating miss.
  • A warm up period for the Cavs as they look to fit to a tee.
  • Showcasing for the All-Star Game.
  • Sloppy play on the national network?
Expect a tough battle, but the homecourt will play in the Cavs' favor. With a deep roster to use at their disposal, even without their star point guard, the Cavs can still make this more than an (uneven) matchup for the Heat, whose reliance on Wade makes the Heat look like the retro-2007 Cavaliers, except worse.

Prediction: Cavs 87-Heat 82 (defense and star play baby!)

Do the Cavs get the 10th straight win? Stay tuned!

Rabman... I came in here SPECIFICALLY for Heat dancers...

WHY ARE THERE NO HEAT DANCERS???? GRAAAAAARRGRGRGGHHHH

That reserve chart with the pictures that pop up when you highlight the number might be the coolest thing I've ever seen in a game thread. Nice work.

Never mind... I'm supplying my own.

Awesome game thread!

According to Finnan: "The Cavs are listing guard Delonte West (fractured left ring finger) as out for the Heat game."

I agree with camakazee - that reserve chart is severely cool.

Sorry guys...

First, it's in Cleveland, so I don't feel like showing redundant things like cheerleaders in the wrong city.

Second, I want my opening post clean. Feel free to add your own flair, but no cheerleaders from me (you won't get get me alive!).

Yes, the Heat dancers are hot, but I'm a different entertainer, go find your own pictures to jerk off to...

Damn. His D on Wade would have been nice.

No excuses though. We should win this one regardless. Miami is playing the 2nd of a back-to-back and has lost 5 out of 6. We should win with or without West.

I meant no offense, my friend. Stellar game thread, as usual. I really hope you are among the people doing them for the playoffs.

Nah... there's absolute nothing to feel sorry for, for you or for me. I know what you meant. There's no worries. I'm more of a pulling-the-leg type of guy myself.

By the way, I know Delonte's out, but I thought the joke was appropriate. It gets the gag going, you know?

We SHOULD win, but expect 30 from Rafer Alston(Cav Killer)and a close game.

Cavs: 103
Heat: 93

People are forgetting the Heat are playing this on the tail end of a B2B where they had a close game with Boston last night. They will probably rely heavily on Wade.
