Game 7 | Cavaliers vs Knicks | November 6, 2009 | 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know alot of you guys don't agree with me, but I don't care. I honestly think he is a huge egotistical douche. When did any other great NBA player like Jordan, Oscar, Magic, etc praise an opposing city like LeBron does with NYC . He talks so highly of NY like he fucking plays there and is from there. How does that not piss off alot of you??

I'm also over it now. Last I checked, basketball is a team sport and on night's like tonight, its all about Lebron. He could stop all that simply by saying no comment, I'm focusing on getting better and the team. We will see what happens next year. Instead, he comes out with energy and is all happy, unlike the games I have seen this year at the Q. Additionally, I think he does very little for the city of Cleveland with all the money/accolades he earns. Even his enemy Braylon Edwards gave a millions dollars in scholarships to the cleveland schools. Shaq is more visible here in 2 months than LeBron has been most of his career. Yes he is a great player, but Im really getting turned off by all the obvious ego.

So will we see JJ start the next couple games? any thoughts on this?

thank you, people dont realize how important/significant this is.

Orlando will also be playing on back-back nights. I would like them at their best (with Rashard) to see how far along we are, but fuck it. We'll get another chance later on down the line. I'm geeked to see Shaq on 5 days rest (considering he barely played tonight).

Starting JJ isn't a bad idea. Get his confidence going and ensures him to get at least 10-15 minutes a game, something he really needs. Anderson is fine in whatever roll he assumes (6th man or starting). I don't think anyone is questioning the contract we signed him to, as he has really turned it up this season.

Hahaha I can't believe this. Are you people just brainwashed or something? Seriously, VERY LITTLE FOR THE CITY OF CLEVELAND!?!??!?!?!?! Ya basketball is a team sport. Note that LeBron is the most unselfish superstar in the NBA. And you diss him for having energy and being happy?:gtfo: Ya he has such a big ego. That is why he has shown so much support for his team and helping his team get better like no player ever has that I have seen. That is why LeBron has in ALL of his power and hard work trying to bring a championship for this city despite the pressure that comes with it. EVERY DAY he has focus on winning the championship. That is why he always talks about how important it would be for Cleveland and why he says "championship" in all the huddles. It is because of his ego?

Seriously this is a good thread to weed out some of the posters that need to be banned.

Again, if we played the Bricks every night, I can guarantee you he'd play like that all the time. They have the worst defense I've ever seen (and we still had 20+ turnovers).

I would like to see JJ start for the sake of getting him some minutes and for aiming for some consistency (although he was terrible at the start of the 2nd half today).

But I don't know if I actually trust JJ to run around making sure that Ryan Anderson doesn't get open shots from distance, which is something he's been doing well as Orlando's stretch 4. It's the kind of match-up for which Moon might be a good fit if this game were happening later in the year (after Moon gets more comfortable in the Cavs system).

My guess is that JJ starts and Mike Brown has a really quick hook as usual if needed.

IMO, Brown should have played JJ for 20-25 minutes tonight and given Shaq a rest on the back to back. He still had way too quick of a trigger on JJ tonight.

Still no continuity on offense. If we played the way we played tonight against the likes of BOS, ORL, etc, we'd be the ones down by 20.

I think the starting lineup against Orlando needs to be

Mo
Delonte
Moon
Bron
Shaq

I'm hoping that with these 4 days off, Delonte gets incorporated into the starting lineup
Moon can D up Vince or Anderson (Bron guards the other). if Vince is out, put Bron on Bass.

It's what he does and not what he says that matters most to me. He yaps and yaps about a lot of things (including NY) but when it comes down to it, he signed with the Cavs after his initial contract, and he'll have a chance to do it again. What he says in the meantime or how he fills his craving for attention, I don't pay much attention to it.

Just because he wants attention off the court doesn't mean we have to give it to him.

I care more about when he acts like a diva on the court or when he gets sloppy or careless and forgets his teammates. Again, it's because of what he does, not what he says after the game.

I recognize why fans get pissed off about what he says, though.

I see what you're saying and I do agree with you, what he does on the court is what matters, but I hate NY. I hate their baseball team about as much as any team in sports. I hate their fans. I hate their biased media. I hate New York.

So when he plays into them and gets all buddy buddy, I hope to God its for his narcissistic attention craving rather than a desire to be there. I guess we'll all find out in June whether he's that much of a shit human being or if he's just an egotistic superstar. Either way, all this PRE-2010 talk is exhausting. Let's kick Orlando's ass.

I agree that would be an ideal lineup for the current Magic starting lineup. I just don't see Mike Brown, who strives to be Mr. Continuity, making that many changes in that short a time -- at least not until he's ready to stick with it for awhile. They still haven't figured out many lineups including new players that actually have worked well.

Looking forward to that game. The number of posts in that game thread should be massive.

Sorry chief, thats how I feel. Go ahead and ban me for having an opinion contrary to your Lebron worship. I don't know why guys like you feel it necessary to coddle him and make excuses for his behavior. That one of the issues, in my opinion, with the team. No one has the balls to say anything to him about anything. Do really think the players on this team that are under contract after this season love the fact that he is vaugue on where he is going to be. Have you forgotten that some of the FA available in the offseason mentioned that as something they thought about before not coming here (ie: ariza).

I dont think he has done much for the city, he always makes it clear he is loyal to Akron, not Cleveland or the cavs....makes it a very clear distinction. He wears a yankees hat (especially at national events like the espys), constantly, knowing that if bothers alot of people that pay his salary. He constantly plays up the NY thing, knowing its NOT good for the team or the fans, but it sure good for him and his Nike contract. I have heard numerous stories of his behavior around town, not tipping, cussing at people, being a general dick. Does he have to do any of this, no, but I have reached a tipping point with all of it. He is not selfish on the court (except the dribbling constantly at the three point line) but he is off the court.

Great basketball player, no doubt, but in my opinion, not a great person.

I thought this game was highly entertaining, while the LBJ NYC stuff got a bit annoying, I seriously missed Mike, Jeff and Mark. Not to mention Chris Rock!

But onto the game, I thought LeBron came out to put on a show, he wasn't going to let this team lose tonight.

I liked the hustle from Andy and JJ even impressed me a bit. Did Mike start him to do something different or did I miss something?

I thought the team got complacent in the 4th, but the game was already won half way through the first. I actually like the rough play in the 4th not getting called because I prefer that game over the "you breath on a player, thats a foul" league we are in now.

You weren't the one that won a who knows how lucky trip to "meet" LeBron to not hardly see him for 30 seconds and not get his autograph.

Trust me. Even through that and other things you can't possibly say that the man hasn't done a TON for Cleveland as a city and Ohio as a state and obviously how much he has done for the Cavaliers.

I think EVERYONE needs to reserve judgment, being a Cavs fan, until we find out if LeBron signs an extension or he's gone. It's irrelevant to give into all of this crap right now. If he bolts, then you all can say u were right. If he stays, you all can suck a fat one.
