Game 76 | Cavaliers vs. Hawks | April 2nd, 2010 | 8:00 PM (EST)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Hawks have fans that care prior to the playoffs

LOL those Hawks fans are an embarrassment to the league. Those morons have an elite playoff team and yet the only games they show up for is when another high profile star is in town. What a joke fanbase.

These next two games could determine our 2nd round opponent. I wonder if the team has a preference on who they would rather play. I know they would never say they do, but they have to.

The Cavs better come out with intensity..The Hawks will be looking for revenge FOR THAT CLOCK fiasco last time..

Delonte West is gonna own Josh :gay: Smith again. Cavs 108-96

Here is your NumbersDon't game preview:

Game Preview – Friday April 2, 2010 – Atlanta Hawks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers now have won 2 straight after the minor speed bump in San Antonio, and are now looking for win #60 of the ‘09-’10 campaign. The Cavaliers look to hold another team under 100, as they have with 11 of their past 13 opponents, and will look for their 17th win in 19 tries when they host a very good Atlanta team, who just knocked off 1 championship team, and hope to make it 2 in a row against an elite ball club. Atlanta themselves have held 4 of their past 5 opponents to under 100 points, and they are very successful when they accomplish that feat, as I will point out below.

The Cavaliers got win #59 in a hard fought battle with Atlanta’s potential playoff opponent, the Milwaukee Bucks. The Clevelanders led by 6 after 3 quarters, but found themselves down by 4 with a little under 3 minutes to go in the ball game. However, the Cavaliers showed their grit & determination, and hit their free throws down the stretch to pull off the 3 point win. LeBron James led the way with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, while Mo Williams shot 6-12 for his 21, to go along with 6 assists & 3 steals. J.J Hickson & Antawn Jamison combined for 26 points (14 & 12 respectively) on 10-18 shooting with 18 boards (6, 12), while Delonte West added 12 points, 4 rebounds, & 6 assists off the bench on 5-8 shooting.

Atlanta is coming off of a 17 point route of the Lakers in Atlanta. Joe Johnson led 7 Hawks scorers in double figures with 25 points to go with 8 assists & 5 triple hits, while Maurice Evans added 18 points on 7-9 shooting off the bench. Mike Bibby & Josh Smith threw up 12 points apiece, with Smith chipping in 8 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, & 2 blocks, as Al Horford put up 10 points & 6 rebounds in just 24 minutes. Jamal Crawford provided more punch off the bench with 14 points on just 5-14 shooting, while Zaza Pachulia pitched in a 10 point, 10 rebound double double in 24 minutes, also off the bench.

View it in its entirety.

And remember to check out the other great posts, spread the word, and leave some love, they all deserve it!

In what has become quite the controversial piece here on RCF, I take a look at Mike Brown's tenure as the Cavaliers head coach. By the way, this piece has now been tweeted & retweeted 12 times now

And in the latest Wednesday Q&A, Cam takes a look at how the Cavaliers perform w/ Shaq, w/ Z, w/ both, and w/ neither.

I doubt we finish the season above .500. Motivation is gone for the cavs, hawks still looking to lock up 3rd seed. We have what magic number of 2 vs both orlando and lakers. We could loose all 7 remaining games and still have a good shot at home court throught out the playoffs. I just think Atlanta is too good for the lack of intensity we will show.

All that said, it doesnt worry me. They will have a warm up series against toronto or someone like that in the first round to get their groove back.

I assume you're factoring in Starters resting once HCA is clinched?

We still need to get better so that means we will show up against the tough teams from here on out until we lock up home court.....no need to start any bad habbits and have fans panicking like fucking pussies.

I know we have been in alot of close games lately, but I think the Cavs will really get up for this one.

Look for Jamison to have a big game, his last 5 against Atlanta he is averaging over 21 Points, 11 Boards and 3 Assists while shooting 50% on 3 balls.

Time to open up a can:

If the team will have a mind set like they did with the kings and the bucks we will lose this one.

If Varejao doesn't play, we're going to have a very very very tough time beating them tonight.

If he does, it all depends on if we show up energy-wise or not.

So, when Mo declares "It's gametime" on the jumbo-tron ? We'll know if AV is ready to go ?

It would be comical if he was in a suit and then ripped it off the reveal his Cavs uniform on. Although the impact would be lost when he comes off the bench.
