I assume you're factoring in Starters resting once HCA is clinched?

I am. Actually, we might have a better shot with our bench. The starters will LeCoast big time. And really, you just cant blame them. If HCA is locked up for the entire playoffs, its time to rest and get ready to bring home the title.

This game is mildly important in my opinion because the Hawks think they can take us out and are dying to prove it. Would rather not give them any confidence that they can win in CLE.

AP Photo/John AmisThe Cavaliers take on Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks tonight.
CLEVELAND -- Pregame from The Q:
Projected starting lineups
Hawks: Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Al Horford
Cavs: Mo Williams, Anthony Parker, LeBron James, Antawn Jamison, JJ Hickson

Officials
Greg Williard, Sean Corbin, Kevin Fehr

Anderson Varejao is a gametime decision. He didn't take part in all of shootaround and the medical team hasn't yet cleared him to play. They'll watch him before the game in some workouts. Andy, for his part, has made it clear he wants to play and feels he's ready to do so. The Hawks are injury free.

This has been a game circled on the Hawks calendar for awhile now and they are feeling good about themselves after blasting the Lakers at home on Wednesday. Atlanta hasn't beaten the Cavs in well over a year and they always play up the disrespect angle. The Hawks also feel they were robbed in the last meeting where there was a shot clock malfunction that they protested with the league and they have been waiting for payback. Despite their record against them (Cavs have won eight straight including playoffs), the Hawks feel to a man they can beat the Cavs in a playoff series and they want to start to show that right here.

• The Hawks are an athletic team that love to run the floor and have a host of guys who can score. In general, they're a good offensive team. They are a challenge to defend in the pick-and-roll because they've got active bigs and a couple of great jump shooters. For this reason, the Cavs may play smaller with more Leon Powe than Zydrunas Ilgauskas depending on how things go. Varejao is a vitally important player in a game like this, which is why he wants to play. An area where the Hawks are weaker is interior defense and rebounding. Smith blocks shots and Zaza Pachulia is a big body but the Cavs have been able to get easy baskets by driving the ball and challenging the interior. They also regularly get outrebounded by their opponents. Atlanta has not been a great road team recently either, losing four of their last five away.

Just keep Andy out. This game really isn't that important with our current lead on the rest of the league. Of course we always want to win, but we should be thinking about the playoffs, and this game has next to no effect on the playoffs.

If I was to be a bad porn director, this would be the intro.

This will be tough. Atlanta is coming in on a high note, just throttled the Lakers. They are out for blood after the last game we played against them. And they are completely healthy.

If we don't have a AV, a loss wouldn't surprise me at all. This is going to be a very tough game.

I hope that Hawks troll from earlier in the season comes back to RCF.

Oh man, I remember him now. We beat his ass to a bloody pulp. :king:

Praying to God Andy is able to give it a go tonight. If not, we could be looking at a 5-10 point loss. :(

I fully expect a down to the wire finish. The Hawks are dying to prove to themselves and the rest of the league that they can indeed beat the Cavs. They are are coming off a shellacking of the Lakers, so they have a little bit of momentum. They are fully healthy, and are certainly cognizant that this could be a preview of the 2nd rd of the playoffs. The Cavs on the other hand are hungry to clinch HCA, but it almost seems inevitable. While we are at home, we might be without AV, and there is no way we want this game as bad as the Hawks. I honestly wouldn't be surprised who wins this game either way. The Hawks also have the motivation of thinking they got screwed last time around. All that said, watch Lebron drop a triple double on they asses...

Anderson Varejao out vs. Hawks with sore hamstring. Look for a return Sunday in Boston.

Sad face.

Well, if we manage to pull out a win tonight, I'll be extra satisfied. As long as Andy's healthy for the playoffs ...

I am not going to post in here much because I get to see this game in all its HD glory.
