Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #53 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Los Angeles Clippers | Feb 9th, 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When Sexton is on the defensive end, he's strictly thinking about getting the ball in his hands. He has no "lock down" instincts in his blood

our backcourt is 2-16

If you take the ball out of their hands it's pretty much expected that they are going to struggle. Sexton is a player that needs to get into a flow. Garland isn't good off the ball. Both will press when they do get the ball.

We will probably loses tonight by 25+ but the bigs will have a good stat line. Beilein needs to demand the team plays with more structure.

Was worried about one of the savviest, smartest, talented, versatile vet team coming off a bad effort blowout last night vs. Minnesota.

Couple that with us being so young at Guard and Wings, 1 practice for Drummond, and a ton of missed bunnies and it's been as ugly as it looks.

We play a brutal schedule immedaitely after the All Star break too(MIAx2, PHI, NOP, IND, UTA, BOS, DEN)

The stretch I'm going to key in on is from 3/10-3/30. That will be after a full month of playing and practicing together and features mostly other bad teams + a few good ones(CHI, CHA, ATL, HOU, ORL, IND, SAC, LAL, BKN, PHX). That's 10 games and I'd really like to see a 5-5, 6-4 stretch during that time.

Take away Drummond's 5-11 and we're shooting 31%. It won't always be that bad. Got to play through it.

We could have that worst record in the league spot locked in before April!

need long rangy 4 man that can shoot and defend + a star SF

Morris was a huge pick up for this team. Them vs the Lakers should be good

The one thing that stuck out to me in the speaking clips they had with Drummond is how this is a free flow offense. I think Beilein needs to walk that back. I think the vet players take that as we can do whatever we want. While it needs to be stressed that it's about making quick decisions and moving the ball.

In the first half we saw the bigs control the ball too much. Guards usually don't play well when the ball barely touches their hands.
