Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #13 | Pistons @ Cavs | Nov. 12, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is that you, John Beilein?
If I were John Beilein I wouldn’t have told my wife our new deck and pool next summer is entirely dependent upon Evan Mobley ( she doesn’t have any idea of who he is) winning Rookie of the Year (she has no idea what that means). But she is now the biggest Evan Mobley fan. Asking me every game night (is our boy Evan doing good??). Take notes, boys.

actually kind of feel sorry for Casey lol that is in fact a terrible terrible basketball team like some were saying. I mean they are possibly worse than a 7 - 59 Bobcats ,
Cavs did play well also but I mean tell the Pistons Grandma to pull around back smh

Well they should win at least 10 they have the messiah Cade

This is literally how Okoro moves on offense.

That clip is never not funny.

No, every stat says they're this bad.

They have the worst offensive rating in the NBA.

So, yea, they're this bad.
Then why were they only a five point underdog? We beat the spread by 15, that means something

A sloppy win as the Cavs had 19 turnovers but I'll take it. That was an outstanding defensive effort as the Cavs held the Pistons to 36.7% from the field and 18 points below their season average. The Cavs only got 98, but that's not bad against an average defense while missing Sexton, Markkanen, and Love.

The Pistons shot 40% in the first half and turned it over 15 times but the Cavs only led by 11. Too many turnovers by the Cavs. They also have difficulty scoring when Okoro and Wade are on the floor together. It's painful to watch Okoro shoot 3's. He was 1-for-7 tonight. He's actually gotten worse in his second season. I thought that was something he was going to work hard on in the off-season. We may have to admit that he'll never be more than a 30% shooter from deep, if that.

Wade and Okoro combined for 12 points in 53 minutes. Against Washington I think it was 5 points in 52 minutes. It's tough on the offense when they're on the floor together.

Nice game by Cedi with 17 off the bench in 23 minutes despite the fact that his 3 wasn't falling (1-for-6). He was slashing to the rim for layups and free throws.

Garland had 21 points and 7 assists for a +29 in 35 minutes. Rubio was a +15 in 27 minutes with 9 assists and 5 steals. Very impressive. Windler had a line of 8/7/4 in 22 minutes. Everybody contributed and the Cavs were up by 22 after three quarters. Mobley was 2-for-2 from deep and finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and a couple of steals.

The Celtics won in OT but Tatum and Smart played 42 minutes while Williams and Schroder played 41. They're going to be tired tomorrow. Even 35-year-old Al Horford played 30 minutes. The Celtics have very little depth, especially with Jaylen Brown out. Dennis Schroder had 38 points in 41 minutes.
