Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's stop it with the name calling. I'm not a moderator on this forum but I'm tempted to start deleting posts anyway.

Kevin Love tested positive for COVID. If he didn't he would be in uniform; he would have no choice. Players can't just announce they have COVID if they don't feel like playing. There's actually a scientific test. Markkanen has it, too.

Love has been cleared to start practicing and there he was, on the bench cheering on the team against Boston. He's accepting his role as a backup to a rookie this year and he's done it gracefully without making any waves.

I suggest we move on from this until Love gets back and starts playing again.

Without Lauri, we really need Garland/Mobley/Allen to play well to tonight and really need someone else to step up and score some buckets. Another outburst by Rubio would be great timing.
Winder and Cedi need to get hot from deep. Allen needs to return with a vengeance. Bickerstaff needs to pull all the right strings again although I think he got lucky on Saturday.

This is a good game to gauge how well the team can adjust. Are they going to figure the Celtics defense out a bit? I can imagine that. I can also see Tatum and the Celtics hitting more 3's.

It is probably a good opportunity for the cavs to be aggressive as they can at the basket. It will be hard for the refs to swallow their whistles even more than last game. Get them in foul trouble and keep hammering the rim.

Cutting cutting cutting. Run straight through the middle of their defense. They hit those weaknesses hard later in the game.

Cavs looked like the more exhausted team for 3 quarters last time, but have bounced back fast with some rest. I think the Celtics will have more trouble with the young guys energy when well rested and hopefully some of those 3 that fell short for the Cavs last time start to fall. I've been glad to see the team usually doesn't have more than one bad shooting game in row.

I wish I lived in Cleveland this ticket prices are just awe
Amazingly the prices for the Nets (against bad-ish teams) are amazing. Gonna see them in Brooklyn Wednesday for - I kid you not - almost Cleveland prices.

As for tonight’s game, it worries me just because missing all of these important rotation players eventually catches up with you, even when basically on a 7-game winning streak (if it weren’t for the Washington breakdown). I have just been waiting for that undermanned shoe to drop - and I think if the Celtics had Brown it would have happened last game.

Would be great to win tonight though, as the next two games are possible losses no matter how you play. I don’t want this young team on a 3-game losing streak.

I'm actually not too worried. 104-93 Cavs W. We are missing significantly more important pieces, but that Celtics team just doesn't have it when they are healthy. Tatum will stand around and ISO today. I wouldn't be surprised if Mobley is on him from the rip and just dare him to shoot. I think both Schroeder & Allen have more normal games; we actually hit some threes and keep the lead most of the 2nd half.

We played our worst game of the year on Saturday and STILL beat the Celtics by 2. I imagine we'll play better tonight, if only because we can’t play worse. That said, I see an easy win for the Cavaliers against an entirely overrated Celtics squad. It’s as simple as control Tatum and it’s a W.

Who said he didn't have Covid? You're just making up a fallacy to argue against here.

I get that you're a Kevin Love fanboy because he stayed when LeBron left, and that, by default, makes him the good guy.

But collecting checks is largely all he's done since that point. He's rarely been healthy, been bad on the court when he is, hasn't kept himself in shape in the off-season, and had a generally shitty attitude at various times since re-signing.

So yes, I'm saying, given all that, Kevin Love, if he were made of tougher stuff, would be playing tonight.

X a Fanboy? LMAO, you dont pay attention to this board at all.

Love has tried very hard in the minutes he got this year so far. Cant say the same.

But NOTHING ABOUT COVID IS PLAYING HOOKEY. It is stupid to say it. When you are in protocol, its literally 10 days and a negative test. You cant FAKE a negative test, you cant skip it. If he was "faking' an injury he would be on the IR not protocol.

He isnt just collecting checks, he just doesnt want to give up any money he is entitled too and that is his choice. I would do the exact same even if i was worthless to my team, its my money, and Gilbert and his 40 billion dont need it anymore than i do.

Not looking forward to watching the bricklayers' union at shooting guard again tonight.

This has the feel of a much tougher game than the one we saw Saturday, if that's even possible. As long as Okoro and Wade are both in the starting lineup, this team is going to continue to have slow starts, barring a random night of good scoring output from one or both of them.

That sort of thing might work against a mediocre Celtics team, but looking ahead, that is a recipe for a blowout against the Cavs' next three opponents (Brooklyn twice, Golden State, and Phoenix).

I really, really want to believe that JBB knows and understands this, but...
Its interesting that this same group who starts the 1st pretty slow, has won every 3rd quarter. Same guys start each half (usually on both teams). Why are they better in the 3rd than the 1st?

Cool deal.

Love was at the game, on the bench, up and high-fiving and cheering two nights ago.

So if he still had it, he wouldn't have been there.
So he’s not contagious but maybe still feeling the effects on his lungs?

I don’t know, but I suspect there’s a good reason he’s not playing.

We‘ll get easy wins against really bad teams like the Pistons. Otherwise, we’re not good enough to get easy wins. This team is winning because the guys are busting their asses on D and playing as a team on both end of the court.

I love our team. So many parallels to the great 75-76 team which also battled against teams with more talent.

I think they’re better then they are being given credit for. Saturday was like the third game already that they won where they really had no business winning, if you look at the stats.

This team plays hard, they play unselfishly, they play together, and they play their best in the big moments. They’re really a coach’s dream. They’re reminiscent of the Fratello-coached teams, although they’re more talented than that group.

I think we do fine tonight. We match up with Tatum well and I doubt he goes off. Schroder isn't likely to be that good 2 nights in a row. Boston's bench isn't very good. The addition of Horford worries me the most. He's a legitimate threat from the perimeter and really is one of those guys who makes everyone better. I'd be surprised if its not another close game.

Schroder has scored 38 and 28 points his last two games, going 26-for-46 from the field and 5-for-13 on 3's. He is definitely on a roll. He's 27 years old but already in his 9th season. He's just a real good player and with Brown out he is shooting more. The Cavs need a better plan to deal with him tonight.

He reminds me of Sexton - great acceleration to the rim, a good scorer, but not a great 3-point shooter (34%. They're both 6'1". Collin is the better scorer (20.0 ppg with slightly better shooting percentages against 14.3 ppg for Schroder) while Schroder averages 4.6 assists to 3.3 for Collin. But their games are pretty similar, IMO.
