Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #17 | Warriors @ Cavs | Nov. 18, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For tonight:

Probable: Curry
Out: Wiseman, Igoudala & Thompson (obviously)

Wiggins puts up 18, Poole 17....and that's like it. I know its more than us, but I feel we are better adjusted to maintain their scoring. Poole is a shit 3 point shooter, Wiggins isnt awful; so we can afford to give them some space given their current percentages & 3PA. Draymond has actually upped his 3 point shooting.

As for FT's Wiggins comes in at #49 in FTA. So aside from Curry, we arent looking at an overly physical team. Granted, neither are we, but Darius & Ricky seem to be upping their FTA.

Lastly, if you remove the names on the list above; ball movement is ass aside from Draymond. Everything says that we should be able to dictate the game, scoring & not let things get away. So if Curry doesn't make it; this game is extremely winnable. If he plays, get the lube ready. He changes everything.

Score is all wrong. Need's flipped.

Warriors 114
Cavs 76
think that's bad that is my estimated 38pt difference outcome if Steph is out.
Steph plays and Cavs lose by 15 because he goes easy on DG

If Steph is playing we’re gonna get smacked. Garland and Love/Tacko/Davis guarding Steph in the PnR is a nightmare.

If the starters are the same, here's how the starting matchups will probably shake out:

Garland --> Poole
Rubio --> Draymond
Okoro --> Curry
Wade --> Wiggins
Ed Davis --> Looney

Wouldn't mind seeing Garland start on Curry/Okoro on Poole.

Dunno what Love's status is with the back-to-back, but he could start over Rubio or Davis. If the Warriors try to force feed the apparent mismatch with Rubio guarding Green, so be it. I'll live with him in the post and Ricky defending. They could run some PnR with Draymond initiating and exploit size differences, but I'll take it over the Curry engine... Which there will still be plenty of if he suits up.

The Nets tried to exploit the lack of Cavs rim protection to poor effect in the beginning of the last game, eventually they got going with wide open LA middies and Durant in the first half/Harden in the second. Warriors are typically better at executing, so we shall see what happens. It's kinda weird, but sometimes there's such an obvious mismatch that teams try to go to, but if it's outside their typical game, it can look ugly/jumbled. The regular season, you see that kinda thing more often. Post season, not so much.

This post is a joke right? Cavs are going to get mauled by this team who is red hot. I wouldn't be surprised if they are playing rookies on us by the 3rd.
my guess Wiggins drops 30

Where's the joke?
If the starters are the same, those will likely be the matchups. I'm not thrilled about it, but it is what it is.

Curry makes that whole thing go, so if he is out, we definitely have a chance to muck up the game and possibly win.

If he’s playing, it’s the first 30 point loss of the season.

Stephen Curry (left hip contusion) is available for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.

This was to be expected, as Curry was listed as probable for Thursday's game. He's been on a role lately, so fantasy managers will want to make sure that Curry is in their active lineups. As for DFS players, the sharpshooter will make for a very attractive option to build their lineups around.

The Warriors just won't let the Cavs stay in it by being lazy.

Against this front line they're ognna have af reaking lay-up line and they'll exploit it.

Theyll sit Curry tomorrow. Theyll still mop the Pistons by 50.

Cedi Osman (lower back spasms) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Warriors.

Osman is a late addition to the injury report, and this development isn't good news for fantasy managers who may be streaming him. If Osman, who played 19 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Nets, is unable to go, that would free up additional minutes for a seldom-used wing such as Denzel Valentine. He would not be worth streaming, and it's fair to wonder the same about Osman, even with the Cavs having been hit hard by injuries.

How is the spread only -9.5? We're on a b2b with a depleted roster playing a 12 SRS Warriors team that's won by double digits against every opponent the last 3 weeks except for their loss against Charlotte (+19 average point differential in that period). We're gonna get mopped.

Warriors 109, Cavs 100 is the Vegas score using o/u and spread. Pretty close to last night‘s result.

I‘m hoping the Cavaliers keep it close because (a) I like to see our team fight for wins (especially at home against these emm effers) and (b) It will agitate the tank lobby here who believe losing is strategically desirable.

As Herm Edwards said, You Play To Win The Game.
