Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #17 | Warriors @ Cavs | Nov. 18, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m kind of stunned we had Mobley in there banging with Horford and Kanter with Davis still having this in the tank. It’s possible JBB didn’t realize it, and his injury wasn’t some product of overplay. You’re still going to mix it up with those guys at PF. Just less frequently. Only silver lining is we have been able to see we have a viable backup. Not saying he’ll be that against everyone..

We did look tired as hell. Understandable. If we didn’t have 3 full days off, I’d be down for sitting Rubio a game. I assume Allen is back by Brooklyn. They’re one of those teams when they’re catching a lot of heat in the media, as they are now, who tend to come out and shut the media up. If we were playing them tmrw, I’d be for a rest day despite hating ever conceding a loss. I want to win this year. He’s just been doing so much.

Great effort this year, Team has made me proud every game, even the collapse of as a game I never expected to be in.

Give me the corpse of Steven Adams or find someone similar. We need bruisers and mean screen setters to free our shooters. This soft screening and weak ball slipping rebounding is a real issue. Cavs will improve once they start running proper actions with proper screens and limit the opposition to mostly 1 possession.
Steph sets better screens than our whole team. So it’s not just a size issue.

If the Cavs lose to the Nets or the Suns next week, I'll be considerably less mad, and more about the details. But this game still pisses me off. @Sir'Dom Pointer pointed it out in the season thread. Bray-mond's blatant cheating. The moving screens. The Tatum-esque push offs. Uncalled, of course.

They have no need to do that, especially against an undermanned team in the other conference in what otherwise is nothing but a stat padding season game.

Cavs need a certified goon on their squad for this BS. One good "Jokic" foul ends this crap.

Yeah I hate watching the Warriors get fellated by the announcers as they clown the Cavs "losing" curry when Draymond is holding.

Nothing makes me angrier than how they abuse moving screens.

We needed Davis to come in during that run and put a little old man authority into a couple fouls. Let the Warriors and the refs know we aren’t just going to let this happen.

I say we sign the Jokic Bros to two way contracts.

Yep, over the years the Warriors have perfected the art of grabbing whoever is guarding Steph just long enough to free him up for a shot. Take away the arm holds and the moving screens and Steph gets 30 instead of 40.

I'm wondering if we'll see Davis getting minutes even after Mobley and Allen return. Davis being on the floor does not hurt the team at all. And a few more minutes of rest could make Mobley and Allen even more effective.

Except now that Love is back he'll take all the minutes Mobley is out so if Davis plays he'll spell Allen at center. The question is whether JBB prefers to slide Mobley to center when Allen sits and play Love or Wade at PF.

I'm fine with a 9-man rotation of:

C Allen, Davis
PF Mobley, Love
SF Markkanen, Cedi
PG Garland, Rubio
SG Sexton, Rubio

Okoro can take Sexton's spot until he gets back but after that I don't know where you can justify playing Okoro.

No it doesn't because anyone besides the league MVP does that push in the back shit and the man gets suspended even if it was justified being none other than a Morris twin who always play dirty.
Cavs are not winning games without a closer when what they bring to the table playing team ball is not enough to close games.
Curry just confirmed Garland is nothing like him
