Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #21 | Cavs @ Mavs | Nov. 29, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Part of KP’s bounce back under Kidd has been from operating inside more than he did under Carlisle.

If KP is playing solely on the perimeter, that benefits the Cavs.
The Mobley vs KP matchup should be a good one, unless the Cavs decide to put Mobley on Doncic, instead, hoping his length can slow down Luka. I definitely can’t see them putting Markkanen on Doncic.

I just don't see a world where JB doesn't have Okoro on Doncic. That's his role on this team, and Doncic is the second smallest player in the Mavericks' starting lineup. It's a no-brainer in terms of what to expect.

Seeing two unicorns match-up in the same game is going to be interesting.

Our starting lineup has an average age of 21.6. Is that the youngest in the league?

Dean Wade is the best choice to guard Luka. But even if Dean is playing, he won’t be starting. So it’ll be Okoro, who has to hold his ground, and stay on the ground. Luka is very capable of hitting contested jumpers over Okoro but that is what we have to live with.

With Dallas firing it up from three and the Cavs having their Big Starters back, expect to see a good splashing of 3-2 zone with Mobley in the middle on the perimeter.

If Zingas is floating on the perimeter, wouldn't mind starting Markk on him and have Mobley able to roam a bit on Finney Smith (who does fire up a fair amount of threes himself)

It's pretty wild that KP was/is considered a unicorn and that Mobley does most things as good and many things better....already.

We have a super-megatron-mutant unicorn.

Dallas favored by 6.5 points against the Cavs?

I guess Vegas heard DWade is out of the lineup, only explanation I can think of. It's understandable due to his Finals performance against them. Would get the whole team in foul trouble.

Hope Cedi can give it a go, but if not, it's all good. Rest up.

I'm guessing this is partly because they've beaten us pretty handily of late. But this is a much different Cavs roster than the one the Mavs beat by 20+ last spring. That said, Hardaway went crazy from 3 last time. Handle him. Mix up the looks on Porzingis. Very winnable game.

Oh, and everyone needs to be on high alert for Doncic swiping at the nuts.

I don't think Okoro can defend Doncic. We might be forced to try it but I think Doncic would have his way with him.

Cedi Osman (back) will not suit up for Monday's game vs. the Mavs.

Osman's minutes will likely be divvied up between Kevin Love and Isaac Okoro tonight, but none of these guys are particularly attractive targets in fantasy hoops.

Topic 1: Magic game takes
Topic 2: Mavs pregame, during game and post game takes
Topic 3: Ramifications of Sexton being out of the lineup for the rest of the season (tonight marks the 10th game, how do you feel about our playoff hopes and/or should moves be made)

I believe these Mavs are fake and we can take them. Sure Luka is great, but they aren't defending well so far, and I don't believe the supporting cast. Cedi or not, ours to win.

Jesus if Luka is hitting his threes, this will be tough.

Mavs announcers are horrible
