Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #82 | Bucks @ Cavs | April 10, 2022 | 3:30 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man if we have to play Atlanta to make the playoffs that game will be unwatchable. You thought Embiid getting 20 free throws was bad? Try watching Trae in a winner-to-the-playoffs game. Puke.

I know…but at least with Trae (and even LaMelo, who gets in foul trouble way more than he should) can be attacked at the other end. Unfortunately I doubt the Cavs would take advantage of that.

Man I hate resting starters. Don't want to watch us vs their back ups.

Ask yourselves this: can we really expect to beat anyone right now?

I say no.

We've already seen how easy it is to get punched in the mouth by some hungry G League tryhards if you're not careful.

Just win today and the Cavs will have two play-in games (assuming they lose the first one to Brooklyn) instead of just one. I would hate to be one and done. I would love to see a home game against Atlanta or Charlotte for all the marbles, especially if Allen is back by then. I want to see how they would respond.

Even if Allen doesn't make the play-in he could be back for a seven-game series against Miami. I would love to see the Cavs at full strength play four against Miami, even if they lose them all, just to see how Bickerstaff tries different lineups. We could see how different combinations work and exactly what the problems are.

It would give the decision makers a minimum of four games of extremely useful data for planning next season and a great understanding of what they need to do to catch up to the top teams in the conference.

The worst case is they lose both play-in games and get rewarded with a lottery pick. If they win today it's all good no matter what happens after that.
Although there are also some obvious differences, the Cavs and the Heat are quite similar teams, and I think that with our full-strength lineup, with Allen playing, the Cavs have a decent chance to beat them in a seven-game series. The odds are against this, obviously, but I would imagine the Heat would rather play against Charlotte or Atlanta than our healthy lineup. But we need to get past these one-game play-in-matches first. So let's do it.

You do realize the person Trae and LaMelo guard is Okoro?? His usual attack amounts to a fast break dunk and a three point try.

So hyped, and lovely to have this game early to watch from Europe

There's no team in the world that wouldn't much prefer facing us rather than the Hawks right now. Injuries or no injuries, we've been a bad team since the beginning of 2022 and the Hawks have gotten hot late in the year just like last year.

I disagree. Playing style matters. If Allen plays, our defense is stronger.
