Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Play-in Game #1 | Cavs @ Nets | April 12, 2022 | 7:00 p.m. TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Role players tend to play better at home. This rings true almost universally and more than ever in postseason basketball.

I fully believe in this teams ability to win against Atlanta or Charlotte. I believe in the players.

I don’t believe in the coach.

Maybe we even get Allen back.
I say this all the time, you beat Atlanta by attacking and going at trae young.

Remember when having a good regular season was enough to make the playoffs? Now you have to have a good play-in tournament as well. Garbage. And they wonder why the ratings are down. The league is tedious.
Play In games have been a pretty decent draw for them thus far. Honestly it's pretty exciting stuff. Good reason for those fringe teams to keep fighting until the end of the season.

As far as ratings, the NBA could care less. Not only are ratings down, but they're going to get even more money on their next TV deal. You'll see guys getting 5 yr/350M deals.

1. I can't believe the refs called lane violation that late in the game
2. Has anyone else noticed LeVert taking some weird wide, slowing down steps when he had open layups? One time he got fouled by Kyrie, another time he kicked it out to Mobley
3. I really wish JBB would just trust his players and not overplay. I'd rather have Kyrie/KD hit tough fadeaways than Bruce Brown/Claxton layups. Or at least give them different looks. Sigh. If the Hawks advance, it'll be the same problem with Trae Young
4. This team desperately needs better shooters
5. I'd rather see more Stevens and less Cedi and Okoro on Friday

Yes, and I’ve never seen a guy stumble as often as he does. Has he always done that or just since he’s in Cleveland ?

Okoro, JBB, 2nd round pick, and KPJ's locker for Nick Nurse. Get it done Koby

BTW the killer game was losing to Orlando.

We play this game at home and I think we win it. Maybe not. Could be getting down big would have made the team feel bad about itself with the ome crowd dead quiet.

Something to be said about it being easier to maybe come back on the road with no pressure.

But I don't think they get trounced in that 1st quarter at home.

I hope Okoro took a real good look at what Brown was doing out there today. I know JBB didnt, but that is an easy path forward for him to impact games. If we asked Okoro to do the same shit Brown did, set screens, play a short role sometimes guard/sometimes big hybrid role, and camp the dunker spot? He would do that but better
Brown just plays a lot bigger than Okoro and has better basketball IQ. I don't see it with Okoro at all at this point. The dude just has no abilities on the court and no confidence either. The only times he has a halfway decent game are when those corner threes he's left wide open on are falling. And even then, the fact he's not being guarded hurts tremendously.

He's a massively overrated defender. He doesn't contribute on the boards. He has no playmaking ability. No dribbling ability. He can't finish in the halfcourt. And he's not reliable on wide open threes. It's just brutal playing 4 on 5 every single game he's out there.

Cavs can play a very certain style of defense with Allen and Mobley active. Much like earlier in the season, be agressive and funnel the opposing guards right into Mobley/Allen.

Okoro is such a blackhole anymore tho. His defense is great for a style like that.

KAT & D'LO with that negative bball IQ early. If I'm Minny I trade those fucks & build around Edwards.

he'd be a much better player if he got his shot off much faster. one or two moves and pull up.
