Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Only one complaint about Mobley…..has he gained any weight? I swear that boy has the toughest time posting up or backing people down!

He has, but gaining weight/muscle to fill his frame out is going to take time. With the physicality he is going to face, his tendons and ligaments have to keep pace (or out-pace) or it's injury prone territory. Took guys like Giannis and Davis some time to do it. They were bean poles for about 3 years before it started showing.

We also need to understand Mobley has a high center of mass with long limbs that's going to be easy to push around by the Steven Adams and Joel Embiids no matter how much weight he puts on.

I really hope sometime in the future I stop reading all the bad mouthing on LeVert. He's everything we need right now. Without him then you're watching Issac Okoro be more depended on.

LeVert has been excellent all year. There are maybe a handful of shots each game I wish he would have gotten a big man something or kicked for a 3..and I think getting used to his new role and DG coming back soon really should, IMHO, help curtail some of his worst offensive habits.

Aside from overall FG% though, LeVert has been just playing the game the right way.

I’d like to see a little bit more attacking the rim all the way to the cup, not pulling up on a dime for a little jumper every single time. I feel like he’s getting overplayed when he attacks the cup to the point where they’re actively avoiding sending help. He’s long and strong and good enough…lay that shit in Caris!!

Defensively has been the real revelation so far. He’s played exceptionally well defensively. He has always been a pretty capable man defender. He’s got the size. Speed. Strength. Length. And now he’s starting to play the game the right way. He’s rotating well. Being vocal on switches. He’s all over the passing lanes like white on rice. I’m very hopeful that this lineup can work with DG back but I think starting Dean Wade and subbing in LeVert is a tantalizing option that we may want/need to turn to for awhile this year for a couple various reasons.

Finally, health. His body looks right again. He’s got burst. Confidence in his speed and agility. And that’s only going to get better. If he can manage to have an injury free season, we may see a career year not in terms of statistics but in terms of IMPACT on winning.

Mitchell has also been extremely solid defensively. Using his Iw and athleticism to create turnovers and runout opportunities. Being a menace on the glass as a guard(we did not have this at all last year…Okoro spends large chunks of time seriously just not engaging in on court play besides playing defense. At least Tony Allen would rebound and stuff as well.

So the Cavs have gone from 3 question marks defensively to two of them very potentially being “pluses” in Caris and Spyda and Garland is also a bit of a ball hawk. The Cavs are going to generate a lot of turnovers and get out in transition as a result, often lol. Our defense csn absolutey be elite, especially when Rubio comes back though I still think an Okoro for Crowder deal sounds more appetizing for both ends every day…but I don’t know if we can promise him the role he wants hence we’re back at square one lol. But we have time to figure it out!

Mitchell,Garland,Wade,Mobley,Allen is a formidable starting lineup. This one has to be the most successful.

You sub out Garland or Mitchell fairly early with Mobley/Allen and sub in Love and LeVert. Then you sub in Mobley/Allen and either one of Garland/Mitchell.

So it should look like Garland/Mitchell, LeVert, Osman, Love, Mobley/Allen/Lopez

No matter what kind of hole you get into, the 2nd unit lead by Garland or Mitchell should feast. Especially with Rubio back.. but how the heck do you find enough minutes for everyone? it's insane... I have no answer.

LeBron and AD had the two best games of any players in the Association and their team still lost. That's the Lakers story so far this season.

Yeah, JBB put Wade in rather than Love at crunch time. Love played well in the first half but things were humming with Wade in there. Wade was a +19 in 21 minutes.

When Garland and eventually Rubio is back I don't see how Okoro stays in the rotation. Definitely not at guard when we have Garland, Mitchell, and Rubio available and not a small forward with LeVert and Cedi ahead of him.

I agree that the Allen, Mobley, Wade front line can be very effective.

By the way, did Robin Lopez call "glass" on that butt shot? If he didn't I'd say it was just a lucky shot.

The East is stacked. This Wizards team is pretty good and they didn't even make the play-in last year.
Indeed. There aren’t any truly terrible teams or teams that are outright tanking in the East. Makes for a fun season I think.

Washington appears to be a highly functional team. Right as I said, "don't allow a damn 3" here goes Dat Zingis with a 3.
Always watching Kuzma. I wonder why 8 Dogg (Hachimura) gets that much of a green light.

They remind me of the Bulls a lot, but play the Cavs tougher somehow.

JBB will find a way. Through hell or high water.

Hachimura had 16 points on 7-for-12 from the field. He's 6'8", 230, and is shooting 50% from both the field and on 3's after three games. I like his game.

Avdija had a miserable game and picked up four fouls and only played 14 minutes. Mitchell was abusing him.

The Cavs did a great defensive job on Kuzma; 11 points and only 8 shots attempted in 37 minutes. Mobley and Allen neutralized him very well.

When they get Ball back they will be a good team - heck, they're 2-1 now having beaten the Raptors and taken the Cavs to OT on the road.

Bradley Beal's ability to get his shot off in the paint amongst the trees and make it is amazing. In 42 minutes he was 11-for-16 for 27 points with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. He did everything he could to win the game for them but Donovan was a little better. Beal attempted just one 3-pointer and missed it. He only hit 30% last year and is 3-for-10 this year.
