While we had some bad possessions at the end of the game, our offense is not why we lost the game. We scored 114 points, which is plenty. The reason we lost is that Golden State made 23 out of 43 3-pointers. If they had shot their season % of 37.7%, and made only 16 of 43, we would have won by 15 points. Even if they had simply made them at the rate Steph shoots (41.7%), we still would have won comfortably.
The question is, "Why do teams consistently shoot 3-pointers so well against us?" This game was not an anomaly in that regard. Some of those baskets at the beginning of the 3rd quarter last night were literal throw-ups -- nothing but net. Maybe we need to stop helping on defense, and see how that works.
