Do Not Sell My Personal Information
19-5 is correlation, not causation. It may just means that he gets yanked quickly when he sucks, and so that doesn't appear in the loss column. Or maybe that the vast majority of his minutes come only with the starters, so he's benefitting from their play rather than vice-versa. Who knows.

Regardless, he hasn't been nearly as effective after coming back from the injury as he was before, so season-ling stats in his case are rather worthless. Whether his shoulder is still bothering him, it is a confidence thing, or just a statistical anomaly doesn't really matter.
Wade gives you defense. Cleaningtheglass.com has the Cavaliers 6.1 points better defensively when Wade is on the floor, which is best on the team and in the 92nd percentile of the league. This year he's in the 84th percentile in blocks (among forwards), the 63rd percentile in steals, and the 82nd percentile in defensive rebounding.

The Cavs have a lot of offense with Garland, Mitchell, and LeVert either shooting or drawing the defense to create passing opportunities to the bigs at the rim. What they need from the fifth starter is defense and rebounding, and also someone who doesn't need a lot of shots and doesn't turn the ball over (Wade is in the 73rd percentile in turnovers).

Wade's usage percentage is in the 2nd percentile, meaning he rarely shoots or assists (13th percentile). But he is in the 79th percentile in 2-point percentage at 57.4% and just below average (40th percentile) in 3-point percentage. His mid-range game has been horrendus (lowest 1% in the league at 14% made) which is really strange because the last two years he was in the 97th and 85th percentiles in mid-range shots, making 52% and 48%.

I think Wade is like Rubio in that his game this year has been significantly affected by injury. Both of them should be better next year. Wade is still an excellent defender but the shoulder injury has affected his shooting. Rubio had a knee injury so his entire game has been affected.

Plane ride home had to have been a party. Excellent way to close out the season and have a positive mindset, 1 - 15, going into the playoffs.

Isaiah’s game seems to fit either Allen and Mobley very well. Would love to give him a shot as our first big off the bench next year.
Once his three point shot becomes more consistent he will be a very valuable asset of the bench. Those who laughed at his selection in this last draft are clueless. The guy can play. The G League really helped develop his game more

People laughed? Shame on them. It was a natural pick.

He actually looked good and he was in the right spots defensively.

I was really worried after summer league that he didn't have it athletically, but he seems fine. His foot work is good enough that him being a little slow is only going to affect him against very speedy guys

Oh, they laughed. Should have seen the reaction to the Mitchell trade. Give it some time . . .
There are always people who howl about big trades. My only concern when I heard it was whether Mitchell wanted to play for the Cavs. Didn't like losing Markannen, but that was probably the price that had to be paid.

But drafting your team's young superstar's brother in the 2nd round? A no-brainer I think. It's not like he can't play or he's taking a spot from some more valuable guy.

I was very pro the Isaiah Mobley pick but kind of concerned by how he looked in summer league, especially given that he had several years in college. Apparently a good showing last night although I couldn’t watch…how was he defensively?

Anybody notice the difference? 31 assists spread out amongst EVERY player who took the floor.

Against an Orlando team that didn’t give a shit. What’s your point? Do you think we should bench all of our starters so we get more assists per game?

Isaiah looked last nite like He did in the GLeague games I watched . An inside outside game. Using hooks with both hands efficiently , passing the ball well and a couple blocks as he did in his last G League game

He had the highest plus minus and led them in the 2nd quarter where the Cavs scored 40+ and the Magic 15.

He was a part of an absurd run I hope someone can remember it. The magic could not score when he was on the floor
