Title says it all.

Not a HUGE fan of the Baker Mayfield pick, but it's better than Allen or that dickhead Rosen, so I'll give that a solid 72/100, C-.

I do like getting Denzel Ward, and I'm not sure we could have snagged him if we dropped all the way to #12, which was about our only option. We wanted him, and we went and got him. Secondary was a big struggle for us last year, and while Chubb will be great, I think we are more set at his position than at CB. 93/100, A.

165/200, 82.5%, low end B for me.

Baker is less than what I wanted but fine overall.

Ward is a tremendous player and future #1 corner so I am super ok with that.

Solid B. Their round 2 could be legendary

Baker - A
Ward - C (just because I desperately wanted Chubb)

Overall: B

Mayfield is a D, Allen would have been a F. Ward was a reach. He's fine as a player I guess. You just hope to get more out of two top four picks. D overall.

Hee Hee! - A+
Ward - B+

TOOT TOOT MU FUCKER!

I give this a B. I like the Baker pick and think he can do well in the NFL. I like Ward a lot as a player but passing on Chubb could be a big mistake. Considering that Josh Jackson and Isiah Oliver are still on the board, we could've taken them round 2. Hopefully they take Harold Landry in round 2 and a WR...

Elway knows his stuff. I’m concerned the Browns missed out on an opportunity to pair up an elite edge player with MG. Boundary corners are a huge premium but I don’t see Ward in that Jalen Ramsey vein. If Ward pans out as average, and Nelson and Chubb become perennial probowlers, that’s fucking rough.

Who knows with Mayfield.

It's not our final draft ever.

And next years strength of the first round is possibly DL.

All the Clemson guys that went back for a final year. Nick Bosa. Dremont Jones. Rashan Gary. Just to name a few.

Yes, we may need to go another direction(OT), but Dorsey seems to place a high value on the value chart that rates QB/CB/DE/OT at the top. So they will likely add to the DL again next year.

This is a long term build.

How long will it be you think? Another 20 years?

Seriously though that's depressing as fuck seeing someone say don't worry we have more drafts coming. With amount of horrible football I've watched.

I was fine with the Mayfield pick, even if he wouldn't have been my choice at one. I thought he was on the same tier at least as Rosen and Darnold.

Not a fan of Ward at four with Chubb on the board, though, as I think Chubb was clear tier above Ward.

I'll just say this:

I am a huge Bradley Chubb fan. I think he is going to be a great player. However, I dont think he was clearly the best pass rusher in the draft, personally. Best edge defender by far, and he will still eat snacks at about 10 per year.

But I think the Browns could still get a guy like Landry, who imo, is the best pure pass rusher and still get the same desired impact. And at half the price.

Still other guys out there too. Hubbard, Sweat, Ostman land. All good pass rushers.

However, Ward is clearly the best pass rusher and unlike Chubb, he is among the elite of the elite in athletic testing and production. He was face melting food. He clearly was in the same tier.

Incomplete IMO, really hinges on these 2nd rounders we have, a lot of great options, Guice would be an absolute steal, I really would love Arden Key with the 64th pick, guy has a ton of talent, if Williams can get in his face and challenge him, Key was considered a top 5 prospect at the beginning of the 2017 season.

I didn’t mean it that way.

I just mean next year we will add to our talent base again and that there will be some extremely talented DL in next years draft.

Given how Dorsey views DE, I wouldn’t be shocked if we went DE next year, unless maybe Ogbah just explodes this year.

This team is in better roster shape talent wise for this season than at any time since 2007.

Gave it a D

I’m willing to give Mayfield a chance but it doesn’t change the fact that there’s so much that’s polarizing about the pick

It was definitely a smartest man in the room pick and you can see that by the reaction of the NFL. The one tweet where they quoted an AFC coach saying he’ll believe it when he sees it. Basically none of us thought this was a real possibility a week ago. Whether you liked the pick or not, I think everyone will agree it was surprising. And we don’t tend to have a great track record with guys who come in and try to be the smartest man in the room

On top of that this is the smallest QB drafted #1 overall ever, right? Ok Brees and Wilson, yeah, we get it. But those guys went way later in part because of that. Again, we did something that literally never happens.

And you guys can talk about fiery competitor and he is, but he’s also a cunt. A hard working cunt but a cunt nonetheless. The oldest QB amongst the guys in the top 10 and also the least mature one. And obviously we get that one. Again, QBs that are faces of franchises generally don’t act like Baker does. But why do things the way other teams do it

It seems like no matter what we always come away with the most polarizing QB. No matter who’s calling the shots. Weeden was by far the most polarizing in his draft, Manziel in his. Now Allen gives Baker a run for his money but Baker is also wildly polarizing

For once I’d just like a higher floor option

Like I’ve said time and time again though, I think Baker can be a top 10 QB, but I could also very easily see him busting right out of the league in 5 years. He is another high variance QB

I liked the Ward pick, but the QB decision is literally franchise altering whether it turns out right or wrong so it received the entirety of my grade.

Sometimes it turns out you actually are the smartest man in the room. I just don’t know why we always have to be the team to find out
