Harrington to Browns?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why do we need him? I dont like Harrington at all.

Phil on WTAM just reported that he is NOT coming to CLE

It's a good damn thing he didn't..if you don't excel with Charles Rogers Roy Williams Mike Williams and Kevin Jones then chances are you aren't cut out for this league. That division was soft for quite a while, he'd better hope he got a decent degree from Oregon to fall back on.

You mean that terrible OL, a RB that is vastly overrated, Rogers who has more arrests than touchdowns and a Williams that wasnt healthy for an entire year?

Id love to have him here, too bad we couldnt get it done.

I guess harrington is suppose to be released this week if no deal(to miami) is done very soon.

If we can get him for cheap, why not take a chance? The worst that can happen is he comes in and Charlie beats him out. If nothing else, he would at least give Charlie some motivation to bust tail.

It scares me to think that the future of clevand's qb position is in the hands of a guy who's not very accurate nor very strong armed. His legs and intangibles are nice, but we need a qb who can actually throw the ball. Maybe we can pick up Joey when/if he's released...

Savage called Joey and they talked, Joey told him he was NOT interested in coming to the Browns. So everyone just drop it. He's a bust, he isn't good, let him go fill in for 3 games until Daunte is ready.

I love how Charlie was dissected by fans who expected him and Braylon to be Peyton to Marvin in their first games. After Braylon hadn't even played all season long. Give it time, everyone said Brady was too slow and this and that and now anyone of you would kill for him.

Not comparing them by any means. Just saying give him time before you reject him. Couch sucked for 4 years before he got the boot.

Oh he's good, don't get it twisted. The kid has obvious talent. He just didnt have a solid system, switched coaches and systems in the middle of his progress and plays for a horrendous team.

I dont get why he wants to go to Miami so bad, he has noc hance of starting there. He had a chance to start here, but whatever..

For a 6th or 7th rounder, Id do that everyday of teh week

Well now that I know about the Dilfer ordeal I'd welcome Harrington to compete with Charlie. But him as a 2nd and Dilfer as a 3rd is just not good.

DILFER DONE IN CLEVELAND
Despite on-the-record statements to the contrary from all parties concerned, we're hearing that quarterback Trent Dilfer's days with the Browns are over.

On Monday, Dilfer said that he hasn't requested a trade or a release. G.M. Phil Savage also has said that, if the team acquires another veteran quarterback, Dilfer will be retained.

Our guess? If the Browns can add Joey Harrington or Marques Tuiasosopo, Dilfer will land on the trade block. And Savage needs to pretend that he wants to keep Dilfer in order to ensure that the team will get something for him in return.

Dilfer is under contract through 2008, at salaries of $1 million per season.

Meanwhile, there are already rumors making the rounds that the Broncos will exile Jake Plummer to Cleveland after trading up in round one to draft Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler. Though Plummer might no longer be the long-term answer for the Broncos, we can't imagine Coach Kevlar dumping Jake before 2007, at the earliest.

I'm devestated :chuckles: Screw Dilfer the so called "team player" can't suck it up another year oh well, find someone else. Inquire about McNair or Kerry Collins Phil.

Dude, Id would LOVE to have Plummer here. That would be GREAT.
