He Gave Us Something to Tacko Bout

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jokes aside, I don’t see the downside here. The Cavs do need a backup C (or two?) … and it’s a non-guaranteed deal. Bring him to camp, and if he doesn’t work out, there’s nothing keeping him here.

You are right on the money. They signed a true center as insurance to what Allen provides cheap.

They didn't blow a ton of money on Hartenstein, who may not be in the rotation when everyone is healthy.

And if things click for Taco? You can't teach his insane length as a 10 minute backup center. There's some Boban upside here.

But this is the internet. People already decided to be negative and they can't write more than two sentences these days.

I don't think we have enough skyscrapers in Cleveland to rep this team, anymore...

Key Building = Tacko
Terminal Tower = Evan
Huntington Building = JA
Justice Building (?) = Lauri

What’d Lauri ever do to you to deserve that comp? Nobody, but nobody, should be compared to that shithole of a building.

If anything, compare Lauri to the proposed Sherwin-Williams tower. Gonna cost a lot of money, but hopefully they’ll have something by 2024.

I mean it’s a two-way contract so I don’t understand the bashing here. He can compete against Kabengele for the reserve center spot and like Randolph says he has immense size and is still youngish so why not take a chance on a two way contract?

If it works out, great! If not who cares? Players aren’t exactly lining up to sign 2 way contracts with Cleveland so when you get an opportunity to sign someone that MAYBE has some long term upside then I say — give em a shot.

No one is bashing the guy. I'm sure he's a cool dude. But it is freaking hilarious that this is the 4th seven footer we've "acquired/signed long term" this offseason and Tacko is 7ft 5.

Allen, Mobley, Lauri and now Tacko.

Somebody’s gonna suggest running a Tacko-Allen-Mobley-Markkanen lineup out there, aren’t they?

clearly it's something that needs to happen, if only for five minutes this season.
