How about a little love for Fausto?

Carmona is now 5-1 with a 2.55 ERA after a complete game shutout of the Twins and Johan Santana. The kid has really turned things around after last year's nightmarish bullpen experiment.

First CG of his career and the Tribe is now 24-14

He has better stuff than CC, and that is scary. He has gotten his pitches down and we he does he is pretty much unhittable. A 96 mph sinker is just filthy, unreal.

We needed a righty power pitcher and he has filled the void.

Its going to be intresting when Adam Miller is called up, makes you wonder is Sowers will be gone or Cliff Lee.

CC might be the odd man out if he really does command $20M/year... I'm sure someone will pay him that and it probably won't be the Tribe. But with Adam Miller waiting and also Chuck Lofgren (lefty in Akron, has taken no-hitters into the 6th and 7th his last two starts) it's a little easier to swallow.

I'm not saying that I want CC gone because he is a stud too. Just trying to get ready for when his contract negotiations start. In a perfect world we keep CC and Hafner. But it will be tough moneywise.

Is this Miller kid in the minors "that" good? I haven't heard of him until this year...

I'm so glad Carmona has come on..this staff is lethal...if Westbrook gets back on track we have 3 guys at least that can go the distance...CC Carmona Lee.

"That dude is filthy. ... If you've never played the game, listen to me, I'm a hitter. Right-handers have no chance unless they get lucky and get a hit on a broken bat."
-- Torii Hunter on facing Carmona.

Miller is supposed to be the #1 prospect in the minors. He throws in the upper 90's and his era is very good.

Ive said all along, Fatso has the best stuff on the team hands down.

Our #1 in the minors or the #1 in all of the minors?

Yeah that quote is going in my sig,i saw that on espn.com.They have been saying he has the best stuff on the team,I was in just as much question when they sent him down. Now Sowers is bout to go back down once westbrook is back.

the indians number 1, but i believe he is in the top 15 prospects in baseball. he was/is a better prospect than fausto at the begining of the season

Damnit, Chief...

RCF rule #64

Don't mention a player's performance in a positive light.. In fear that it will change due to it's recognition..

Sorry, I was searching for something positive today after the debacle I witnessed at the Q last night. Trying to keep my mind off hoops today.

I just read the full quote from Torii Hunter:

"It was so scary, I thought I was hung over," center fielder Torii Hunter told Minnesota reporters. "It will be nice to go to Milwaukee and face normal pitchers. . . .

"That dude is filthy," he added. "We've been struggling, but even if we had been playing good, we wouldn't have beaten him. If you've never played the game, listen to me, I'm a hitter. Right-handers have no chance unless they get lucky and get a hit on a broken bat."

 He knows the NL and the Brewers are garbage.

He also went on to say if you're right handed, you can only hit it if you get lucky and break a bat for a bloop single. (Paraphrase because of me being lazy).

I didn't watch the game, so maybe someone who did can fill me in. I heard his sinker was gunned at 95 mph. Combine that with unhittable movement, and you've got yourself an out-pitch.
