This upcoming series is huge for the Tribe. Not only will it be a barometer on how good we really can be in October, but it can also effect the first round playoff matchups.

I'm going to assume the Yankees win the wildcard (3 game lead right now). Because Boston can't play the Yanks in round one, they would play the team with the next worse record...as of today the Indians, 1 game behind LA.

Even though the Yankees have owned us this year, I'd still rather play them with their inconsistent pitching than the Sox.

Winning this series in LA would be huge not only for our confidence, but also because it puts in position for the easier first round matchup.

C'mon Tribe...take 3 of 4!!

The Angels have been beating the cover off the baseball as of late...mainly Garret Anderson. Our pitching is always solid...let's hope the bats don't fall asleep. Victor and Haf carried us against the Twins.

Id rather play the Yanks too...it should be a good series. Hopefully we can keep hitting and not back into that funk we had a couple weeks ago.

Yep, at this point we need to try to catch them too. They have been the best team in MLB all year and I expect them to hold onto that spot. But if we could somehow finish with the best overall record... it sure would be nice to have home field throughout.

I think the Mariners catching the Yanks would be to better benefit us.

They only play the Yankees three more times, next Friday-Sunday. The Sox have a pretty easy remaining schedule:

Unless we go about 18-5 I would expect them to be able to hold us off...

Why the hell did Wedge pick tonight to put Barfield back in the lineup??? No Asdrubal because of that headscratcher. These games against Anaheim or LA (whatever they're called) are HUGE. Barfield already has an error. Can't wait for his 0-4 with 3 K's.
