Indians playoff chances...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hey, on the bright side we actually displayed some decent situational hitting tonight. The two runs we tacked on in the 8th ended up being the difference (as we pretty much knew they would be).

Yeah that was nice...we produced runs and that's what we'd have to do in the playoffs. The impressive thing is that we're stepping on the Twins throats...two games ago they were breathing down our necks.

I'm telling you girls, we're gonna win it all.... Since I've disclosed my dream, we've been killin' it.....

Huge to get the first two with Santana going tomorrow...

Who is that Hefner(sp?) kid that went deep tonight and is batting .310 over the last week...did he just get called up? Don't remember seeing him all year.

Don't look now but the Tigers are getting smoked by the lowly Royals.

No way, Max...Hefner(sp?) is like 81, and been going deep 3 times a day for 60 years. He's been a major leaguer for 6 decades. We just tend to forget about him because he changes teams every six months.

Well this idiot Borowski is in the middle of blowing another save...

EDIT: I was wrong again! YES!

Up by 4.5 games.. Have to love that. Just have to keep it up.

Oh and we scored when CC was pitching.. see what happens when we do.

4-0 vs Johan. Love that.

I believe I heard a stat yesterday that is just mind-boggling: Tribe starting pitchers have gone at least 6 innings in 105 of our 132 games this year. Easily leading the major leagues in that category.

If you subtract Cliff Lee's starts from that, what is the real ratio?

Lee had 16 starts...only half were 6 innings or more...so that ratio goes to 97 of 116 without Lee's starts:eek:

Great point there, I didn't even think of that. It is really unbelievable what the starters have done and should give us a lot of hope for the postseason when pitching, defense, and situational hitting are really magnified.

And, if you take out Sowers stats, 12 starts, where he only went half of his games over 6 innings, we end up with 91 of 104.

Our starters rule.
