His offense just makes me cringe. It wouldn't even be ok for a big man to be this offensively redundant

He needs to learn that he is NOT Collin Sexton. Collin can run full steam to the hoop in transition from the backside of the court. He can't out run the defense when he does.

11 games in and he hasnt made a single 3 this season, lost cause.
He hit only 2 over his last 10 games last season. He's been practicing his invisibility for awhile, though now he's finally perfected it.

I like him as a kid and root for him, but man he just doesn't have it. I think we can all agree that we missed on this pick.

Granted, it wasn't a super loaded draft but there were definitely some guys that would have been muchhhhhhhh better for us. Vassell went #11 and is near the same size but is undeniably better in the NBA. Haliburton went #12 which we've discussed on here countless times. There's a few other guys past the lottery that would have made a ton of sense but we would have had to trade back.

Hope the kid figures it out, but he sure isn't showing me much each time he's on the floor other than "playing hard."

Its funny we all, myself included, tippy toe around the statement that sums it up: he sucks. He is likeable and seems like a good lockerroom guy. However, those are attributes that earn you a spot as a veteran. We can't showcase him for a trade any longer as we are in win now mode. He needs out of rotation and traded, if possible. This will give him a new start on a franchise looking to accumulate young prospects. Well into year 3 that much is obvious.

Anthony Bennett looked at this and said: "Dude, that's Brutal!"

His confidence is completely shattered. I don't know why. He was better as a rook. He's not this bad, but he is terrified of making a mistake

They changed his shooting mechanics in the offseason, which was dumb. They weren't great but at least he could get hot at times. Now he can't make a single 3. That's on the training staff imo. Shattered what little confidence he had left.

Yeah well he isn't even attempting them now and his finishing is gone. He was moving without the ball and cutting in preseason and now nothing. Very dissapointed in him.

Okoro has always shined when the lights are off and the pressure is low.
As a rookie the last month of the season we were out of it and just going through the motions hoping to improve our draft position, losing 11 of the last 12 with most by blowouts, but he played free and easy, was willing to shoot and he averaged 15 points a game over the span. Last December when we were playing G-League level competition with almost entire squads out with Covid, Okoro was putting up 20 point games. Contrast that with during the last month of the season the pressure is on, half the team is in a MASH unit and we are trying to hold onto a playoff spot, and Okoro tops 6 points just twice over the last dozen games. In preseason he's free and easy as no one cares so he plays well again, but once the lights are on again and now the pressure is at an all time high as the team is expected to compete and win, he turns into the invisible man. It's become predictable and to expect it to change is just being a blind fan.
