I have no doubt he will grow into a small forward's body. It seems silly to doubt that. He's a 19 year old rookie.

Paul George and Jimmy Butler were both scrutinized in a similar fashion as rookies. Jaylen Brown is another guy who was written off as not being big enough to play that position.

Okoro will get there.

He is playing small on his finishes. he is too scared finishing right now against NBA defense...the one miss he had on the break against Lebron was not what I would expect out of him. I also thought he traveled.

He was touted as a strong finisher and that's a skill he needs in his bag right now offensively. Show me some of that Issac. Let's go!

He's not very tall or long. He's only 6'5" (at most) with a 8'4" standing reach. Those are average numbers for a 2 but not a 3. Does that mean he can't make up for some of that with explosiveness, strength and craftiness? Of course not. The NBA is full of guys who figured out ways to get it done without all the measurables. But it may help explain why he struggles with finishing at the rim, rebounding and defending taller players. Don't get me wrong - I like him and think he was a good pick. But he has some limitations playing the 3 right now.

Okoro had a team high 6 assists. Loved the hook pass to Cedi for the wide open 3. He made Grant work and Grant did made some tough shots over him. He finished much stronger tonight but I want to keep continuing to see him finish strong.

My fondest wish is that, Okoro grows offensively into Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi is only an inch taller. I looked at Kawhi's stats, and we're in for a long wait.

Kawhi also has a freakishly long wingspan that is above-average for power forwards. It's the same - 7'3" - as Giannis'.

You're right! In my mind, Charles Barkley is the undersized guy who did well. I know he played a different position.

Okoro is averaging 2 steals a game in his last 8 (1.5 since coming back from injury) and has at least one in each game. Most of those come from anticipation/jump into passing lanes towards the baseline/low post from the top of the three point line. Rarely do his attempts at breaking into the passing lane result in an easy bucket for the other team (guessing here based on what I've seen).

The league leaders in steals:
01) Larry Nance Jr. - 2.3 spg
02) OG Anunoby - 2.1 spg
03) Kawhi Leonard - 2.0 spg

Tied for 16) Issac Okoro - 1.4 spg

I think we might need to get some DHOs for him to get him a few more looks. O know his offensive development is a long process but I feel like he could really flourish if he catches the ball on the move especially as his passing is good

We got four players in the top fifty in that category, three in the top twenty.

He had a lowkey great game. I expect him to just gradually get more comfortable on offense until we are like, "Wait how did he get good?"

He is just watching the game and absorbing. I understand it can be frustrating because people want him more aggressive on offense, but he is still figuring out what he can do. He isn't a guy who does stuff he is not capable of, so he has like a couple of mistakes every game and he is just slowly adjusting what he is doing.

Ive said this a few times, it's probably going to take him midseason or the end of the season to get better offensively...

I don't understand, why anyone expect him to come out shooting when he likes to pick his spots...He's not a natural shooter like Garland and Windler.
