Wade's coach told me it's because Wade continues to kick his ass 1 on 1 in practice.

Is rather have had Wade out there last game I'll be honest. Hope it's the concussion, but he was playing like this before that

He's averaging 14-11 on just 8 FGA (60% shooting) since he came back from his concussion. Not sure why everybody is up his ass.

I thought he bounced back nicely against Chicago after a tough start.

He dropped several dunks, allowed Vucevic to hit every shot, and anyone who wanted to get to the rim got there.

Hes looked bad since he's been back

Hard disagree.

He had a rough first quarter against Vuc, but did well the rest of the way.

After the first quarter, Allen was 4/5 from the floor while Vuc was 6/12

With how the NBA is trending, I'm not sure many teams will trade for a center of Allen's skill set making 20 million. So if he works on our team that's great but if he doesn't I think we will have a hard time moving him.

I thought it was a no brainer to just pay him before we saw how well Sexton and Garland played with two bigs that can shoot. Now though, I think they should explore if they can better use the money they would give him on a stretch 5 and a cheaper center.

Allen has a nice mid range touch and has flashed NBA range even in the short time the Cavs have had him.

One thing the Cavs have shown they are capable of is developing guys' outside shot. I expect Allen to follow that trend as well.

Lol after the 1st, you mean the quarter when he missed 4 point blank shots? 4/9 for the game Vuc still shot 50% after the first quarter where he shot 4/5 and Allen's scoring the rest of the game was negated.

Dude hasn't won a matchup in awhile, small or big.

Utah is doing pretty good with Rudy Gobert. Phoenix is doing fine with Ayton. Atlanta has improved with Capella back. Portland competes with Nurkic.

The only "stretch 5s" are Jojo, Jokic and Vucevic. 2 MVP candidates and an All-Star that hasn't made it out of the 1st round as an important part of a team.

I'm seeing similarities to how the PF position transitioned from certain players being called stretch 4s to more players taking 3s to where it's necessary for a PF to take a certain amount of 3s a game.

A team doesn't want to be caught on the wrong side of that transition. Some players will be able to make the jump and others will become almost unusable.

People have pointed out how Koby has taken advantage of the market inefficiency with traditional centers to get them for cheap. On the flip side of that, I question what are other GMs seeing that they won't want pay or give up assets for these guys. They might be seeing the transition coming much quicker than Koby or other GMs expect.

Chris Grant drafted TT as a PF and the Cavs were lucky enough that he could transition to center. There were alot of players that weren't able to make that transition or gain the necessary skill set to stay at PF. When that shift happens for Centers they won't have the luxury to shift to another position. At best it might be a reduced role or backup role in store for them.

A young rebuilding team should want to be ahead of the curve on what they think the NBA will evolve to so they can hit their peak and window at the same time.

Definitely cause for concern.

He was catching everything early on and now he has stone hands.

My initial post literally said, "I thought he bounced back nicely against Chicago after a tough start." He had a bad first quarter and then held his own the rest of the way. Where's the lie?

Also, he was good against Charlotte and Golden State the two games before (won his matchups), so I think everyone is being kind of harsh.

Game was lost in the first when he missed 2 easy buckets in a row and gave up points on the other end and they took the lead.

Game log says he had 0 turnovers and Sexton had 5. 2 or maybe 3 of those were him not catch a ball right in the pocket.

I just don't think he bounced back. He had the worst + - of any of the starters and that matched what I saw. Not sure he was better than neutral at any point in the game.

I don't think he won either of those matchups and in fact GS just did whatever they wanted to Allen. He has been worse defensively than Wade IMO. I hope he is just getting adjusted.

We got outscored by 1 in the 35 minutes Allen played against Golden State.

We got outscored by 17 in the 17 minutes Wade played against Golden State.

Tough to draw anything conclusive from a single-game +/-, but it's safe to say that when Allen was on the court, we played neck and neck with the Warriors, and while Wade was on the court, we got destroyed. That's not to say that either directly caused those results, but I think some are being too hard on Allen here. He's been fine since he came back from his concussion. A bad quarter here and there, but mostly he's done what I want him to do.

He had 17 and 14 on 6/7 shooting against Golden State. How did he not win his match-up? Looney was a non-factor.

He had 15 and 8 on 5/9 shooting against Charlotte. Biyombo was his match-up!

Look man people are arguing stats back and forth but if you watch these games something has happened. Injury or attitude or something.

He now can't fucking jump. Like no joke, he's not jumping nearly as high as he was earlier. Along with not being able ot catch the ball.

This is really concerning.

Damn he's letting a rookie 2nd round center dominate him. Dude lost his mojo.
