He’s worth it and will get it. Still only 22 and has even more room to grow. I think 4 years around $100 million is a very fair deal for both sides.

Fits in well with our young core. Draft Cade Cunningham and we just might have ourselves a bright future.

I may be wrong, but im pretty sure it would be *FIVE* years (with full bird rights) and $100M...

Let the market set his price, we can match. Not sure he will get $20mil a year tbh, seems 15-18 is more his range. Front load his contract seems smart if that’s possible

agree that 15-18 per year would be more his range, both on how the market right now is not too keen giving out large contracts, and also because of the devalued center position. i understand if he gets 100M for 5 yrs, but i think 90M for 5 years should make both parties happy.

5 years for $100 would fantastic.

I'm just more of a pessimist so I figure with our team location we'll have to overpay :D

This thread on reddit is pretty interesting. Talks about how Toronto is interested in Allen (among other teams), but interesting to note a lot of the comments seem to think Allen will get a max. I know these are just idiots like you and me talking but I think it's important to note the general public perception.

We missed the extension time period, but they still have a chance to offer hims something before RFA, right? What should they offer? I think prob 5 years 100M.

He could technically get up to 27M per I think? I honestly don't thing he is worth it now, but he might grow into it. Not a value contract for a guy who doesn't create his own shot IMO. I'd be happy with 20, but I have to admit the bloom is off the rose lately. He hasn't been putting up 20 and 15 like he was before allstar. Is he hurt? Can he take the beating of being a starting center for 82 games?

Steven Adams would be a good complement to Allen. Cavs need
a bruiser on the front line.

Is this guy going to re-sign with us?!? Does he have a choice?!? At this point, we really need to make sure that we lock him down or we're going to be the worst team in the league. However, if we can get him on an long contract, maybe with a new coach or something, we can be respectable if we absolutely hit a home run with our draft pick.
Can he somehow not take the match and play a 1 year then bounce on us? That's the concern and it's getting more concerning every day.

love me some Steven Adams - both on and off the court, but I think he's under contract for $35 million over the next 2 years. I don't think we could pay that for an offensively challenged backup center.

Allen is gonna be worth every penny of what he commands.

Looked like he got some of that explosiveness back he was missing before his break

Looks like our bigs for the future are pretty set with Allen, Hartenstein, and Wade (although he's more of a 3-4)..

Makes the importance of drafting a quality wing that much higher in this upcoming draft.

If those are our bigs of the future, we're in trouble.

Allen is good and Hart/Wade look like they might be rotation pieces (Hart more than Wade), but we should be actively looking for better players to fill our frontcourt than those two, especially at the 4 spot.
